Adeeb (adeebn) Best Young Adult books you've read? Some that have really impacted you and you absolutely loved.
I have many. Without a doubt, Harry Potter and Hunger Games are ones that did the job for me.

Some less famous novels that I really loved are the Gone series by Michael Grant, Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead(although I disliked the ending), and ANYTHING Patrick Ness writes. Of course there are so much more but these are only a few to name.

Brenda Clough (brendaclough) | 964 comments Heh. The Bartimaeus Trilogy, by Jonathan Stroud. Like crystal meth between book covers; the easiest entry drug for the new reader you ever saw.

Paul | 7 comments Not a huge reader of YA work anymore (it's been a long time since I was in that demographic), but some that I have read recently and enjoyed:

Clive Barker's young adult works, namely the Abarat series and The Thief of Always (the latter being particularly enjoyable). Un Lun Dun was a good YA book that I've read recently.

L.G. Estrella | 231 comments I really liked Alanna: The First Adventure when I was younger. I still have the books, and they've held up pretty well over the years too.

Loved that series!

Sandra Martinez (elearah) | 44 comments David Eddings´ books qualify as YA. I liked them a lot when I read them.

Brandon Sanderson is one of my favorite among the new generation.

In Indies, Talisman Of El was cool.

E.J. (ejschoenborn) | 36 comments Though neither SF or Fantasy, I am still in love with Thirteen Reasons Why and The Book Thief and pretty much anything by Markus Zusak actually.

Curiously enough, I didn't enjoy her later books as much. Undoubtedly, part of it was my changing (getting older), but I also think her style changed.

I've only read one or two books after the series was complete. Wild Magic (I think its called that) and it turned into a series I didn't complete. I have a bunch of her books I;ve picked up here and there but aren't in series order so I haven't read.

The Book Thief was excellent. I was very surprised how much I liked it. I also recently read Saving Francesca - Melina Marchetta on a rec from my girlfriend and really enjoyed it.

Some other young adult stuff that I've enjoyed were Harry Potter Boxed Set, The Hunger Games and The Princess Bride

Mary Catelli | 1009 comments I like Harry Potter -- and Percy Jackson as well.

Also The Treachery of Beautiful Things, Ultraviolet, Skellig, and These Broken Stars.
