Thank you jmom for the U-tube birthday song and Theresa for the sweet birthday wish and pic.
I enjoyed reading genres I normally don't read. I've read (not listened) 6 books - I can't read another by tomorrow at noon. I had fun and enjoyed being on Team Gold! Even if we don't win the Toppler, I think my teammates Rock!!!!!!!

I'll be finished with Lady Chatterley's Lover for Romance in a bit, then I'll catch some sleep before getting up to read Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives by Pope Benedict XVI for Biography. It's one of the shortest Bios that fit the requirements and was immediately available from my library.

So i finished the bio and chick lit.
I am back reading ny chuckster. It's the only book i have with me.

Happy Birthday, Anne!!!
Great video, Jmom.

Esther, you have been a great help to Team Gold! I know your Chick Lit was The Secret Life of Bees, but can you post the name of your Biography, too? I think we'll need it to complete the bottom row of Card #1.

Card #1:
We have 7 strings completed on Card #1. The bottom row will definitely be completed, since Esther's Biography will substitute for Joe's if he doesn't report in. I believe Mariab is still reading Fantasy, and if she reports a finish we will also have the middle column. In the end, I hope that we will have 9 strings plus 6 orphan reads on Card #1.
Card #2:
We have 1 string finished, the Middle Row. Janice is reading Steampunk, which will complete Anne's Birthday diagonlal from Chick Lit to Biography. I believe Sam is reading Paranormal and Kat Contemporary, which would give us the Center Column. If all finish, we will have 3 strings plus 1 orphan on Card #2
In the end, we will have at least 10 and hopefully 12 strings completed.
Team Gold has great teammates!

Yes!! Still reading. But I struggle with a very weird english in my book
How much time I get yet?

My bio was cleopatra: a life. I will link if i ever get home.

I finished my Card 2, Steampunk read - The Hunchback Assignments.
I'm quite shocked that I managed to read five books for this toppler! At the beginning of the week, I figured that 3 books was a stretch! Having that extra day off really helped.
Everyone has done such an amazing job of reading! Woohoo and high fives to everyone.

I did go ahead and use Esther's Biography in Joe's space. She was a real trooper to go back and finish that one.
Only 20 minutes left, but even if we finish with the 10 strings we have, our team has done an awesome job!

"There's no set deadline, but most people try to post by Sunday night (Monday morning for some of you). I know some people are traveling, or will be in a coma (ME) for a few days. With the time differences and real life coming back to intrude, we can relax for this part."
I've already posted our charts in the reporting thread, noting that we have finished 11 strings and possibly one more pending our last player reporting in.
GREAT JOB, TEAM GOLD!

But I certainly did try. That book I chose was in a wicked English. I chose it because was short (and the plot appealed me), but it turned to be a challange in what my English skills concerned
(Stardust I have read a long time ago and I didn´t like it, It was too "sugary" for my taste.
The other book that was suggested to me, I didn´t have

Mariab, considering you came back from being ill and got your 2 books in, you did just fine. TEAM GOLD will finish with 11 strings completed, and I think that's just fine. To wrap it up, I'll just post our final charts.

11 Strings Completed - 8 on Card #1 and 3 on Card #2
12 Orphan books read - 11 on Card #1 and 1 on Card #2

It's okay, Joe. I was just worried that something had happened to you, so I'm happy to see you post.

Joe, as it ended up, we were able to fit in books read by other players into your two slots to make those strings. It's too bad you didn't get to read your books, though. I know Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption is one I really thought was great.

Thanks Theresa for sorting out my books while i got stuck in a totally epic travel hell.
I have been up since friday am. I will catch up when i come out of coma,
