What did you think of it? Favorite or least favorite characters? Favorite or least favorite part?

Victoria (iamvick) I loved this book! I really enjoyed the strong friendship aspect of the book and felt that the subject was portrayed really well. Aech is definitely my favourite character!

Christine Duirs | 5 comments I've been looking for an "excuse" to read this book for a while, as it's not really my usual type.
Choosing it as BOM is the final encouragement i needed :)

Olivia (liv2821) I read this book awhile ago, and it is one of my favorites! Like Christine, this isn't normally a type of book that a would read but I am so glad that I did! The story line was never boring and there was always something happening, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who lives YA fiction. I am excited to read Ernest Cline's other novel.

Rianna *Hermione* B (hermione617) | 11 comments I first heard/ saw this book on the tv show called "X-play," which was a video game preview/ review show on Tech TV/ G4. Since then, I wanted to read it. I was able to last year finally.

It was really cool in all the odes to movies & older/ classic video games. I didn't know most of the movies, but I loved the adventure of it. The things that rubbed me the wrong way were in the details in foul language & awkward boy stuff.

I loved the craziness of how detailed the story and uncovering the mystery/ final level were, especially because I love video games and mysteries.

Kristie (krussum) | 13 comments I'm not a gamer, so I didn't get a lot of the technical gaming language, but I was able to skim over most of it. This book was a love letter to the 80s, my childhood. Honestly, it was awesome! I think I finally may have found a YA book that my husband may actually read!

Laura (acquariusgb) (acquariusgb) | 7 comments I loved this book. It was like being in geek heaven. The 80s aren't really my years but I learned a lot about them. I real true manifest for friendship.

Minda~Quenn {Somehow I found a way to get lost in you} Absolutely amazing novel. Connects not only to book nerds but also game nerds.

I just this minute finish Player One dang I'm awwww struck and can't wait to read the rest of your books Cline. Amazing job Ernest, and a fellow Texan to boot, toooooo. Dang the book was great, I'm pumped . Love your writing style, but more than that you did your homework because without that element I would not have been so mesmerized from beginning to end, and the end came too fast.
