Missed you. I have gotten back in the groove of reading. Arm is getting better but Dr says it will be a year before I am back to normal. How are you doing?
I am excited about the RT convention in May. Nalini Singh will be there. I'm hoping to get her autograph. I will be attending a tea with Susan Mallery. YAY!

It's been so long since we've read these that I have a feeling I'm going to have a hard time remembering who everyone is! I won't be starting until this evening.

I will and I will share them. This is the first time going to one. It helps that it's not far from where I live. My friends and I are working on scrapbooks for the convention.

How fun! I would love to go to one sometime...maybe next year :)

If we enjoy this one we will try to go to Dallas next year. May have to fly to that one.

I used to go to conventions ALL THE TIME and it was awesome. I met some amazing authors, had some great talks with them, and I did get quite a few signatures. It was fab. I hope it is awesome for you Leigh!

I like that she isn't all weak and afraid of her own reactions to things. I was still irritated that she is both SMALLER and less powerful as a fighter though.

Oh, no worries. It's been for a while now. It's part of why it took me so long to get back.

It's nothing like what you had/have going on. I am glad your arm is better, but sorry that it will take so long for it to fully heal. :(

This semester has felt like one thing after another, and this winter has depressed me terribly. I cannot wait for Spring and a break. If I didn't have the best bestie in the world, I might have turtled and never come back out.

I'm so happy to be back to reading with you guys too. I cannot believe how little I've read this year.

Have either of you read the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews? Kate Daniels is one of those Alpha females. I love that series!

But you know, in this book, when you reach the end, you will realise that (view spoiler)[Mercy is as dominant as Riley. She does not get pulled into the Snow Dancer's web. She is still part of the Web of Stars. And Riley doesn't get pulled into the Web of Stars. He is at the periphery of the Web. (hide spoiler)]

This is turning out to be one of my favorites, too, just because of Mercy and Riley. Plus I like the shifters more than the Psy anyway :)

I agree I love shifters. The Psy are so clinically...no warm and fuzzy.

She isn't but she is badass and their are shifters in the series. Curran being the most yummy shifter!

Yeah I know. But I want to read a book where both the leading couple are shifters and the woman is the Alpha, not the man. Even in this series, I hope we get to read a book where the woman is more dominant than the man. Even if it's a novella.

I love the shifters more too. But I think, it is very interesting to watch a clinical and emotionally empty person develop emotions. Come into and accept that they have the ability to be as passionate as the shifters. I mean look at how much Sascha has progressed.

I agree. I think it will be interesting to see what will happen with Sienna Lauren. How will her emotions change her?

How about Mercy Thompson?

She's one of my favorites, and she's a shifter.
