Module 4 is all about reading and celebrating our love of books and literacy. March 2 is Dr. Seuss’s birthday, so you may notice many people celebrating what is called “Read Across America” on this day or throughout the month of March. Check out the National Education Association for an abundance of information on “Read Across America”.
For some of us, reading has been something we have had a passion for since we were children, and we each have stories that we have carried with us all our lives. Some of us didn’t become readers until we reached adulthood, and realized how each book beholds tales that can touch our lives.
To celebrate, please share some of your favorite books or stories about what made you a lifelong reader. These can even be books that you read as children that you still remember fondly to this day!
Ever since one of my friends sent me a copy of the first list, I've been intrigued by the 1001 Books list.
