What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I don't remember when the book was published but i read it less than a year ago.
It's about a girl, Kit (15 or 16) whose parents/guardian dies and she's taken under the custody of Cain (stepbrother?) a baron who runs a gambling parlour ( I THINK) and inherits Kit's estate. When Kit arrives at his doorstep (tomboy, dirty, defiant and illiterate) she attempts on his life the first night there so Cain quickly gets rid of her by enrolling her in a private school For GENTLE ladies, without further contact.
A few years later when Kit returns, fully transformed and grown up, there's instant connection between the two. But Kit still wants to be rid of him and was plotting revenge all these years.
Moving on, Kit once puts fire to Cain's brand new mill (she knew how much he cared for his money) and he retaliates by telling the entire village that she's pregnant, thus both getting married (which allowed Cain access to HER money)
Later on, the only contact they have in upcoming weeks/months is only sexual. No one utters a word to the other outside their bedroom.
And FINALLY when they overcome this and confess their undying love, SOMETHING happens (which I don't remember) causing Cain to up and leave. Never looking back in nine months (son born) Then Kit musters up the courage and goes after him, apologises and they live happily ever after.

I think I went a little OVER board but I loved this book and I've searched everywhere and I still can't find it.
Any suggestions? ❤
