Inherent Vice
question
Authors and books you've always wanted to read...

... but haven't had the chance to, yet...
Well, that's a mouthful for a first topic. But I'm interested to hear about the books you've always fancied, thought you'd like somehow or were told were 'important', have the je ne sais quois, but haven't had the time or opportunity to read?
Here are some of mine:
- TC Boyle
- Ruth Rendell
- Maryline Glynne
- Phillip Roth
- Thomas Pynchon
It's a mixed bag, really. In the past that list included some authors I got to like quite a bit, like F. Scott Fitzgerald, Patricia Highsmith, Nathanial Hawthorne, and I'm sure once I get round to sampling the above writers something will stick, too. Sometimes it's more cozy to stick with the books we know we like by our favourite authors or stumble upon something new, hot, a discovery...
Okay, now I'd like very much to hear from you, see if you have lists like that... thanks
(I forgot to say, all this is just a random, judgement-free question; my choices are totally subjective)
