Maybe, maybe not. I don't very much about the film industry, but I've heard its common for work to begin on projects only to have them disappear. So, who knows? If a movie does wind up happening, I hope it focuses on historical events within the series like the Dance of Dragons.

It's not happening. At least not at this time. George debunked this story on his not-a-blog.

A movie about the dance of dragons would be a better choice considering that the show already deals with 'current events'. The rogue prince and the princess and the queen were great short stories. Hope Martin releases a third part.
