~ Read a book with a bicycle on the cover (M)
~ Read a book shelved as available (Karsyn)
~ Read a book with the phrase "weak at the knees" (or "in") in a book (Karsyn)
~ Read a book where characters celebrate Christmas
~ Read a book which has the main location (setting) as a boat or other ocean vessel

"Nothing wrong with the weakness in her knees, either"
It holds the idiom, so it works. I'll get to it after the "available" goal. I needed to spend sometime doing other things yesterday and today, so I'll start the available goal sometime today.

Kerri ~ do you remember what number it was you used? I just like to list everything I can. Glad you've had a good relaxing time of reading!
Jen ~ thanks, M finished it, so we're good there.

Nope, not yet! It's yours. :D

We would get a holiday book, after using all them up for the 25 Days challenge. :/
If anyone reads the Cut & Run series, the 3rd book is set on a cruise ship. I just read it and used it for our Poker goal.

Woot! I found one that sounds awesome.

Everyone's been quiet, anyone reading anything good? I'll finally finish up my 1st book of the year today. Slow going, but Hubby had the last 3 days off. Once He's back to work tomorrow, I'll be reading more, gonna try to read a bunch for Bout of Books.

I hope everyone else is doing well!!

~ Read a book with the word teach, teacher, coach or help (plurals are acceptable) in the title

I've read a couple of books and working on a few more. I've logged them in the completed thread.
Karsyn - what is Bout of Books?

I wanted to say, too, that I'm really enjoying the current BOM, A Darker Shade of Magic! Is anyone else reading it?
Also, Cristina, I hope your Grandma is ok!

I am also super bored at work :( hope I can sneak some reading in!

Been getting some reading in today. Finished up the "knees" goal, but spreadsheet isn't updating. Gonna get the guru's onto that for me.
No worries you've been busy, jingles, everyone has been. Glad to see you (and all) when y'all can pop in. Bout of Books is a week long read-a-thon, pretty big among bloggers. It's on their 15th one (they do 2 a year) and this will be my 5th, I think. Usually I read like crazy, but I'm taking it a bit slower this time. I do need to get some reading in and finally finished my 1st 2 books of the year between yesterday and today. Hope to finish this other book today as well.
I'm reading A Darker Shade of Magic as well, Kerri. I'm enjoying it too. I'm 27% into it.
Sorry everyone's having a boring work day. Hope y'all can sneak some reading in. :)

~ Read a book with the word teach, teacher, coach or help (plurals acceptable) in the title
~ Read a book with a cemetery on the cover
~ Read a book shelved as asia (Kerri)

~ Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as asia - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable

I can cover the "asia" goal if we don't already have a book that works. I've been meaning to read The Kite Runner and it's listed on the first page of it's top shelves.

~ Sort your "to read" shelf by 'date added' and read a book that is within Numbers 1-50 on your list (the first column before the book cover image)
----
If any of y'all keep an eye on the spreadsheet, don't be alarmed if you don't see your books right away. Spreadsheet is working about twice a day, if that. Mods know about it, it's nothing on our end, it's the hosting of the sheet site.
~Australia Day Mini Challenge~![]()
We never said you would have only one puzzle :)
So, here we go!
Same rules apply, but before you start this puzzle, you must have already completed your previous puzzle and spell-it-outs. (and remember, once done those books are locked in and can't be moved).
This time those teams that were at the top of the overall leader board as at Jan1 receive puzzle AA, the middle puzzle A and the lowest puzzle B.
Good luck!
Puzzle AA

2. Although called a ‘bear’, the ______ is not at all related to bears, but is related to the kangaroo and the wombat
4. The ___________, is a semiaquatic egg-laying mammal endemic to eastern Australia

3. One of the animals on the coat of arms is the ________

Unfortunately, we're not going to get many points. We have to use Dec books again and we don't have any left that were 100+ points, I don't think there are even an 80 point ones. Ah well, we'll do the best we can and get whatever we can outta it.

Until I start getting this more filled in, lets say any vowel as well as some more obscure letters like K, Q & X.

We need 1 O
We need 3 U
-----
I have one U covered, will finish it today or tomorrow. Can get started on another after that one. If we have any of those letters already, That'd be great.

We just need 2 U's, after the one I'm listening to right now.
