Woohoo! Awesome M! :)

I'll do that right now!

~ Read a book where a character gets into shape
~ Read a book with the name of the tarot card "The Emperor" in the text or title
~ Read a book that has a guitar or other musical instrument on cover ~ Karsyn Reading
~ Read a book with a yellow, orange or golden dress on the cover ~ M Reading
~ Read a book with the name of the tarot card "Wheel of Fortune" in the text or title

Just let me know.

Just let me know."
That'll work. Doesn't have to be the tarot card exact, but has to be the phrase. That's perfect!

Unfortunately, i can't search Fall of Giants right now because it's the audio version I have, and not a print or ebook copy.

Worms are the emperor of all diets. We fatten up all creatures to feed ourselves, and we fatten ourselves for the worms to eat when we're dead ...

Morning all! I am soooooooo sleepy, again. Was up all night with the puppy, got 2 hours or so this morning after Hubby got up. It's gonna be a long day!
I'll get us a new goal as soon as I wake up a little more. :)

M, could you put the yellow dress book onto your tower shelf when you get a chance?

I love my 3 day weekend!

Here is a link in case you need it:
Message #41

~ Read a book where the page numbers add to 6 (i.e. 345 pages = 3+4+5 = 12)
~ Read a book where the first word of the text is This
We'll get another one when M links her book. If you get a chance, can y'all check the books you've read, see if any of them start with "This"?

No worries! :)
Thanks for checking, jingles. I did the same thing. It's a weird one. I might just open every book on my Kindle. LOL!

The only book I found so far with the first word of the story being "This" is The Good Soldier by Ford Maddix Ford

Are they talking about a book in which the page numbers added together equal a number that '6' can be divided into?
Just ignore the example in brackets, that is just to show what the goal means.
So for 6, you may have 321 pages, for example, (3+2+1) or 600 pages, or 501 etc..
I hope that helps! The generic example in the goal text seems to throw some people :)

Sorry I wasn't here last night (thanks for answering the question, Karen). I've been so exhausted I went to bed at 9:30. Good news is though I woke up a bunch, I did get a lot of sleep as well. So YAY, finally! :)
Awesome to hear about The Emperor, I'll go do that in just a bit. Can you get me a page number for where the words are seen in the text together, M? Now that I see Deedee finished Great Zoo, I remembered it's in there as well as they have Emperor dragons.

~ Read a book where golf is played, or there are golf clubs on the cover
~ Read a book where the author uses a suffix (Jr, Sr., III)

In my book it is page 14 where the emperor is mentioned the first time.

How's everyone else doing? Everyone having a good weekend?
The puppy's crate arrived today. Cross fingers that she does ok in it!! She's in there now, and she's whining, but not doing her yappy bark yet. Here's to hoping, since she's right next to the big dog, that she'll take to it easily and I can start getting more sleep! I ended up taking a nap today and I NEVER do that. :/

Thank you Karsyn for the good book suggestion.

Puppy crate night did not go well. :( I stayed out here (living room) so I wasn't bugging Hubby with getting up and down. I was able to sleep for about an hour during the night, and maybe another 2 after Hubby left for work. I'm pretty miserable, but we'll get through it.
Today is football day, so no books, at least during the 1pm game. I have a short novella I'm still working my way through. Darn puppy messing me up! I did finish a long one yesterday.

Karsyn - this was not a BOM, but I did participate in a buddy read for it. I've not posted my final thoughts, but will probably tomorrow.
If a buddy read counts for extra points, just let me know, and I will post links here for my participation messages.
It was a good book, but looooong. I'm glad to have it behind me, and now looking forward to some light reading.

Yup, task 9 is the only one we have left. I'm going to look through, see if any of the ones that are doubled up could maybe fit for it. It ends today, so I doubt anyone will be able to fit anything in. I'll look to see if I have something super short that fits.

William Shakespeare in Hamlet wrote of the "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" and, of fortune personified, to "break all the spokes and fellies from her wheel." And in Henry V, Act 3 Scene VI[4] are the lines:
Pistol:
Bardolph, a soldier who is loyal and stout-hearted and full of valour, has, by a cruel trick of fate and a turn of silly Fortune's wildly spinning wheel, that blind goddess who stands upon an ever-rolling stone—
Fluellen:
Now, now, Ensign Pistol. Fortune is depicted as blind, with a scarf over her eyes, to signify that she is blind. And she is depicted with a wheel to signify—this is the point—that she is turning and inconstant, and all about change and variation. And her foot, see, is planted on a spherical stone that rolls and rolls and rolls.
Shakespeare also references this Wheel in King Lear.[5] The Earl of Kent, who was once held dear by the King, has been banished, only to return in disguise. This disguised character is placed in the stocks for an overnight and laments this turn of events at the end of Act II, Scene 2:
Fortune, good night, smile once more; turn thy wheel!
I was planning to do the audiobook Hamlet tomorrow. I do not have Henry V on audiobook though. There are only 10 Shakespeare plays that are above the 20,000 word count requirement and King Lear, Hamlet, and Henry V are in those 10.
