Michael Economy (michaeleconomy) 1 request per second

message 3: by Vitaly (new)

Vitaly | 5 comments What about bulk operations. For example, if we request several books by ISBNs?

message 4: by Michael (new)

Michael Economy (michaeleconomy) Please wait one second per request.

Vitaly | 5 comments so, request == many books by ISBNs?

Michael Economy (michaeleconomy) I'm not sure what you're asking.

You can only search for one book per request.

Vitaly | 5 comments Sorry for some inaccuracies in my question. I'm getting review statistics given a list of ISBNs (it's some like of bulk operation). So, my question is: request is counted for all books or each separate one of them?

Is it a single call where you send a list of ISBNs? If not, it's a seperate call.

Dontae Rayford | 2 comments Hi Community,

Looking for some guidance here. I work on the BD team at IFTTT and we're trying to get some guidance around how Goodreads rate limits apply to our client IDs. Has anyone had any success getting in touch with the Goodreads team to discuss client-specific matters?

Dontae

Michael Economy (michaeleconomy) Hey Dontae,

The limit is 1 request per second per api key.

Sounds like you might be using the goodreads API for Commercial purposes? Doing this w/o written consent from goodreads is a violation of our terms. Please email [email protected] if you wish to use our API within a commercial app.

Thanks,
-Michael

Dontae Rayford | 2 comments Thanks, Michael!

Not using anything at the moment. Hence trying to contact the right team. I'll reach out to support@goodreads.

Cheers,
Dontae
