Jeydon lips pulled into a slight smile after pulling away. He had never felt this way with anyone else, not even Hayden. As he looked back at Vee. He wondered what she was thinking. She was not saying anything. He knew she was probably going to be upset with him. "Vee I am sorry." He said knowing he should apologize right away. He had a girlfriend and she had a boyfriend, he knew it would never work out. Unless they both wanted to be together, but there had been no sign in the past that Vee ever wanted to be with him. "I know you don't like me." Jeydon said simply enough. Vee would probably just agree, and go back to being happy with Jake like she was before. She seemed to totally forget about him when she was with Jake.

Vee looked into his eyes. They were still so close, that she could still lean in to kiss him again, and she desperately wanted to. She heard his apology and what he said after wards. She knew she shouldn't speak, but she couldn't help herself. "But I do," she whispers. She knew she was with Jake and he was with Hayden. But she couldn't keep lying. He needed to know the truth. "I only made it look like I don't like you so you could stop liking me. You deserve better then me... I'm messed up..." She tells him softly, a hurtful feeling in her eyes. She truly was messed up, and he'll never understand it. Back when he was in a coma he probably didn't notice why they were able to communicate but if he knew he would freak out. "I was only trying to make it better for you... Even if it meant I couldn't be with you..."

Jeydon just looked at her and sighed slightly. "But you can be with Jake....?" His voice trailed off in question. He did not understand if she could not be with him, but it was so easy for her to go be with someone else. It all did not add up. "You are the one who deserves better than me, and that is probably the very reason you are dating Jake, because you know he is better." Jeydon did not understand if she was messed up, and did not want to put him through it, but was willing to put Jake through it. He did not say any of these thoughts to her though. "It does not make sense." He just looked down at his fancy black shoes.

Vee shook her head. He was right. But he wouldn't understand. He couldn't understand. "I can't explain..." She said sadly. She stepped away. Being with him at the time was complicated. He had hurt her, he made her feel many different feelings at once, and he was close to finding out her secreat. So she couldn't have been with him. But she couldn't tell him that. Being with Jake was different. Be didn't do anything that made her lose control of her powers like Jeydon does. He doesn't think she's special like Jeydon does. So she couldn't tell Jeydon anything. He would think she's crazy. She wished he hadn't come out. She wished he hadn't kissed her. "I'm sorry Jeydon.... I just can't tell you..."

Jeydon shook his head in disappointment,
"Fine Vee, let me know when you can." He looked over her slowly,
"I wish I could have what he has. The way you trust him with things, it must be nice." He said softly but with obvious hurt in his face. Jeydon shrugged ever so slightly before turning back, and walking into the gym to meet with Hayden and Jake. As he returned to the table, Hayden smiled up at him,
"Hey babe, I am glad you are back. They just served dinner." He sat down at the table. Jeydon was always hungry, but for some reason the food did not even look appealing to him. He started to eat anyways so that everything seemed like it was okay. Several minutes had passed and Vee still had not returned. Jake sat there quietly not saying anything as he looked like he was still waiting for Vee to return. He soon finished his food, and he knew that Hayden would probably want to dance soon after she was finished with her own plate.

Vee watched him leave, once again. She realized this was the same hallways Jeydon slaked out of her life a few months ago when he left this school. Now here they were again, leaving each other both hurt. She knew that she hurt him, badly. But that's how it has to be. She couldn't tell him. She in fact did not want to tell him. Jake was there to help her but he too wasn't really doing what Jeydon could have. Jake doesn't know her secret, and never will know too. Vee felt tears stream down her face. She didn't even realize she was crying. She turned around and walked the other way from the gym. She went outside for fresh air, staying there for as long as she could before she had to go in. She had calmed herself down and erased any evidence of her crying. She came back in, missing the dinner. She didn't care, she wasn't even hungry. She sat done in her chair, avoiding everyone eyes. "Everything okay?" Jake asked her. She just nodded. But nothing was okay. Nothing will ever be okay.

Jeydon smiled slightly at Vee when she returned, but he did try to avoid eye contact with her.
"Do you want to go dance, Hayden?" Jeydon asked her as he stood up with his hand held out to her. She looked up at him and nodded with a bright smile. He glanced at Vee while they walked away. He pulled Hayden close, and wrapped his arms around her waist. She was small and slender, but his arms did not wrap around her the same way they wrapped around Vee. They were almost the same size, but Vee just fit him more perfectly, like two pieces of a jig saw puzzle. They complete each other, but maybe they were star crossed lovers, and something would always be in the way of them being together.

Vee watched as the two walk away. She wished she was the one holding his hand to be lead to dance with. But at less if she couldn't be the one, she was happy that it was her best friend. She felt guilty, knowing that she kissed Jeydon, her boy friend. Vee didn't want to be that friend that hooked up with her fiends boyfriend. She looked away when Jeydon looked back. She just turned to Jake and started to speak, and within a few seconds he was already rambling about something. She liked that, because it helped distract her. But as he spoke, nothing got rid of the feeling that today was ruined. She was wrong to hope that she would have a perfect day today.

Jeydon slowly swayed along with the music. It still did not feel right though without Vee in his arms. It was different, it was not a bad different, but he had the choice, he would always choose Vee over anyone else. The slow songs soon stopped, and the dance music came on. It was not the normal type of music he danced to, so he excused himself and returned to his seat. Hayden remained dancing with some of her other friends. "Hey guys, I am back, this kind of dancing really is not my style." Jeydon said as he sat at the table with Jake and Vee. Jake was talking about something before he sat down, but when he arrived Jake just immedietly stopped talking.

Jake spoke for a several more minutes before the music changed and Jeydon came back alone. Jake stopped speaking, something he does if he doesn't know the person. Jake looked up and spotted Hayden dancing with her other friends. "That girl is a wild one," he said with a soft chuckle. He had noticed that about her with the couple of times he spent with her and Vee. He looked over to Vee, who stayed quite most of the time and still was, and said "I'm going to get me a drink. You guys want?" From all that talking he grew thirsty. He stood up, waiting to see what they would say. "If you don't mind," Vee said softly. Even as Jake spoke, Vee wasn't distracted from the thoughts that kept on coming in her head. She still felt the pain, and at the moment she just wanted to get out from the dress and away from the music. She actually didn't even look well, but she avoided everyone's gaze so they wouldn't know.

Jeydon watched as Jake walked away, "I'm sorry about earlier Vee, I shouldn't have kissed you." He said as he looked at her. She didn't look well. Jeydon knew something was wrong because she did not look alright in the hallway either. He gave her a hand a squeeze under the table, "I hope you are okay." He said as he watched Jake stop to talk to Hayden. He never really noticed before but Hayden and Jake made a cute couple. He kind of smiled at the thought, it could be Hayden and Jake, while he could have Vee all to himself. That is all he really wanted. He knew that he was going to have to break up with Hayden because of his feelings towards Vee. He rather be alone than date someone while having feelings for somebody else. It wouldn't be fair to Hayden if he dated her while he was in love with Vee. "I think I'm going to break with Hayden." He said simply looking over at Vee to see what she would think. Maybe she would be happy and do the same so that they could finally be together. It was obvious they were meant to be.

Vee looked up when she heard Jeydon apologize. He shouldn't have apologized because she kissed back too and liked it. "It's okay," she said softly. But it still didn't help with the guilty feeling she had. Vee closed her eyes for a moment as pain came to her again. the punch...dance... Pretty dress.... Can't believe So many thoughts spilled into her head. She couldn't stop them. Why was it every time Jeydon was with her this happened. She felt a squeeze and looked down to find his hand. She looked up to him, slightly smiling. "I am okay..." She lies. She watched him, thinking of pulling her hand away, but she didn't. Instead she heard what he said, and her eyes slightly widened. "What?! No! You can't." She immediately said. She pulled her hand away, feeling stupid. She couldn't do this to her friend.

Jeydon looked up at her shocked. He didn't understand why she would be upset about it.
"But it's not fair to Hayden when I have feelings for someone else." His voice trailed off,
"Feelings for you Vee. I can't get you out of my head. I'm always thinking about you. I'm in love you." He said as he looking at her, watching her carefully.
"Even if you don't like me back or end up dating me, I can't lead her on. I'm not that kind of person." He said as he took a sip of his punch that he had gotten earlier.
"I'm not going to be with me, when she can find someone else who loves her and only her." He said knowing this was the decision that he was going to have make.
"I won't do it tonight Vee, but I will do it soon. I rather be alone than be with anyone but you." He said as he set his glass down and tapped his fingers on the table. He saw Jake heading back towards them, and sighed. Jeydon knew once he got here this conversation would be over, and he didn't know another time that they would get to talk about this. Maybe he could ask Vee to dance so that they could keep talking. Jeydon loved talking to her about anything.

Vee couldn't look at him. Just hearing him was enough, so how would she be able to look into his eyes. She wished she could be with him and love him, as in show her love, like him. But that meant he would leave Hayden and break her heart, and she didn't deserve that. She shook her head. He wouldn't break up with her now or any time soon. She noticed Jake coming back with two cups of drink. Jeydon stopped speaking, but she couldn't just stop now. She needed to make sure he wouldn't do that. She looked up to him. "Please don't break up with her... At less not until we talk. For me." Vee said desperately to him. She was trying her best to keep her friend from having a heart break because she knew how it felt and no one should go through it, especially Hayden. "Please," she said softly, wanting him to say something before Jake joined them.

Jeydon glanced at Vee, "Fine." He said with a grim expression. He hoped that they could talk soon, but he had a feeling they would not. He understood that Vee did not want Hayden to be hurt, but him staying with her, and not actually loving her, would end up hurting her more in the long run. However he would do anything Vee asked him to do because he wanted to make her happy. "I won't do it because you asked me, because I love you, and I want you to be happy." He said explaining his reasoning just before Jake arrived at the table. Jeydon grinned at him, pretending that nothing had happened, "Welcome back, Vee was missing you terribly." He said with a chuckle. Even though he was the one missing her even though Vee was sitting right in front of him. It was not the same because she was not with him but Jake, and he was with Hayden. Jeydon did not understand how this become such a complete mess. It all started with the stupid dare, and he was starting to hate Josh more and more. Even though it was mostly his fault, Jeydon was just tried of living with the guilt.

Vee waited for him him to replay. She sighed in relief when he agreed. She smiled, "thank you." She said. She looked over to Jake when he joined. She smiled, letting what Jake said be true. Just then a slow song came on. Since she came with Jake she needed to dance with him. It was what she planes on doing, that was before Jeydon came in to her life again. But still, she needed to at less dance with her boyfriend. Even if she was filled with so many emotions from Jeydon and was in pain. "Let's dance," she said to him. Jake smiled. Even though he just sat down he held out his hand for her and said, "c'mon." She took his hand and got up. She went to the dance floor with Jake and moved to hold him, glancing at Jeydon then at Hayden who went to join him at the table after dancing. She looks away and just danced with Jake, softly talking to him.

Jeydon watched as Jake lead Vee away to slow dance. Hayden soon came back and he smiled brightly up at her. He had to pretend everything was at least okay for Vee.
"Would you like to dance my love?" Jeydon said as he stood up extending his hand to her like a true gentleman. Hayden smiled and nodded as she took his hand. He led her out onto the dance floor, right by where Vee and Jake were. He slowly pulled her in, and Hayden leaned her on his chest. Jeydon had the perfect view of Vee though. She was so beautiful, even if she as in the arms of another man. That part he hated the most. It was the part that teared him into pieces on the inside and made him want to just give up on love. Love didn't seem to work out into anyone's favor after all. Even if two people are so clearly meant to be. Sometimes they didn't end up together. Jeydon was not going to let his true love slip from his fingertips. Maybe even Hayden and Jake were meant to be together, but they would never know if they didn't try. Jake seemed interested in her earlier anyways , but anyone would be crazy not to because Hayden was a gorgeous girl, just not the right one for Jeydon.

Vee spoke to Jake for a few more minutes before she rested her head on his shoulder. She was tired, both physically and emotionally. Her head was still hurting with every thoughts that came in and she had enough of her feelings today. She just wanted to sleep. It always seemed like the best thing to do. It was a way for her to forget everything. Vee swayed with the music, her arms wrapped around his neck while he held her at the waist. She could see from the corner of her eyes that Jake and Hayden were dancing right by them, and she met jakes eyes for a moment. I love you... She wanted to tell him. But she couldn't. She was supposed to love someone else. He was supposed to love someone else. Vee's head filled pain and she closed her eyes, waiting for it to fade away. She still didn't understand why she was getting pain.

Jeydon swayed as he twirled Hayden around the room. The night would soon be over. He wondered what they had planned for the after party. Last years after party someone ended up pregnant. He was not sure if Hayden wanted to go. After the music ended Hayden walked back over by Jake and Vee. "Are you guys going to the after party?" She squealed in delight as she looked between both of them. Jeydon sighed because he did not really want to go, but if Hayden wanted to, he would. He did not want to ruin her special night. He secretly hoped Vee would go, so that they could talk.

Vee and jake were about to head back to the table when the music stopped. But Hayden and Jeydon came before them. "Yah! I can't wait. I'm actually looking forward to that one more than this," Jake said with a grin, his hand holding Vees. Vee looked from her excited friend to her excited boyfriend. They had been looking forward to going to the after party. Vee slightly smiled for them. She wanted to make them happy, but she couldn't go. Another place with thoughts and louder music. She wasn't even able to handle it now. She needed to go home and be alone. No thoughts be there, not even her parents since they weren't home. "I'm sorry... But I'm not feeling well. I'm just going to skip it." She said softly to them, daring to glance at Jeydon just for half a second before looking to Hayden, who was disappointed just like Jake. "You aren't?" He asked, very upset because he was looking forward to it. "Fine... I'll just take you home." He looked to Hayden sadly.

Jeydon glanced to Jake who seemed rather upset that he had to miss the party. He didn't really feel up to going either. "Jake if you want to go to the party with Hayden, I can bring Vee home." He said as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. "I really didn't feel up to going either." He said as Hayden looked at him sadly, but he knew that Hayden would have more fun with Jake anyways. He was not in the mood to party, and he wanted to talk to Vee, and this was the perfect opportunity as long her boyfriend was okay with it. He had no reason not to be, it seemed was very apparent that he and Hayden were together and liked each other. Jeydon thought no one would suspect that he and Vee were severely liking each other. Even though he more than liked her, he loved her.

Jake and looked over to Jeydon when he spoke. He thought about it. It seemed like a perfect idea. For him to hang out with Hayden if they were the only ones that wanted to go. He would have said yes, but be had to make sure Vee was okay with it. He looked over to her. "What do you say?" He asked. Vee looked at him. She then looked at Jeydon. He really was smart. What a perfect way to trap her and get a way to talk to her. She smiled and said, "sure. You two go a head. I'll just go with Jeydon." She noticed the happiness within them and flat better, but bad head still hurt.

Jeydon smiled slightly.
"You made this perfect night." Hayden said as she gave Jeydon a quick kiss. He gave Hayden a quick hug before she left with Jake. He truly hoped that she would have a good time. He honestly did care about her, and wanted her to enjoy this night, even if it was with Jake. Jeydon sighed as he sat down at the table. He needed a break before he left. Lately he had been exhausted all the time, but since the accident, he always got tired quicker than usual. "Just give me a second before we leave Vee." He said as he watched people file out the gym slowly. They were one of the last ones in the room.

Jake kissed Vee and said he'll call her later to check up on her. The two then left, along with the other people with their dates. She looked over to Jeydon who was now sitting. She just nodded to him. She wondered if he was okay. She looked away so it wouldn't look like she was staring. The Dj was still playing a slow song. People were gathering their things. Within a few seconds they were the only one their. It was quick how people left to the after party since it would be funner. She didn't blame them. If things went out how she planed yesterday, as in with no Jeydon, she would have went to. She looked over the gym, it really was decorated nicely. A dreamy night, perfect. In fact it matched her dress. Her eyes fell on the dance floor. She never imagined herself dancing there, except it wasn't with the one she truly loved.

Jeydon sighed as he everyone else left. He just felt emotionally and physically drained after tonight. His eyes wandered to Vee looking around at the empty room. There was a slow song still playing over the speakers. SInce no one was here it could not hurt to have one last dance. A dance with a person he truly care about.
"Vee, would you give me the honor of having one last dance." He said as he stood up and extended his hand out to her.
"I know we are not together, but I know what we feel, and we deserve this dance." He said as he looked at her his eyes filled with love. This was the only way he could ever look at her. Vee was beautiful. Not in the way everyone thought was beautiful, but from the inside out radiated a beauty that no other girl had.

Vee heard Jeydon speak and turned to look at him and his extended hand. She looked up into his eyes, ones that showed so much love that she knew she could not get from anyone else. He was right. They deserved this dance. They were alone, and a slow song was on. This was there moment. She moved her hand and placed it in his before saying, "I'd love to." She slightly smiled and looked up to him. She held his hand and moved to the dance floor with him.

Jeydon smiled a true genuine smile when she agreed. The music was still playing softly even though everybody else left. He pulled her close to his chest and put his arms around her waist.
"I am sorry that I could not do this in front of everyone else." He said wishing he could. Vee would be a girlfriend to be proud of. He would show her off to everyone in the world if he could, but he could not because they were both taken by other people.
"I wish that I could though. I wish everyone could know how much that I love you." He said as he gently twirled her around. He sighed as glanced at her face. Jeydon still did not understand how everything got into this big of a mess.

Vee moved her arms around his neck and moved closer to him, her chest pressing against his. She started to dance with him to the music, looking up to his eyes as he spoke. She slightly smiled. "Don't be sorry... It's not your fault." She tells him. It wasn't. It was hers. She was the one who refused to be with him, that made their love impossible. It was sweet of him though to want to show off his love for her to everyone, especially how he had once been everyone's favorite before she came. She twirled around before moving back to facing him. She moved to rest her head on his shoulder and softly whispered. "Can you do something for me?" She said to him. "Don't think about anything." She closed her eyes and swayed with him. It was just them and no thoughts were in her head, so she didn't feel any pain, and she didn't want to feel pain so it wouldn't ruin the moment.

Jeydon nodded. He didn't understand her request, but he did what she asked. He cleared his thoughts as he closed his eyes and just let their bodies sway to the sound of the music. It was almost perfect. This moment with them together away from the rest of the world, but once they walked out the gym doors, reality would hit. Jeydon wished this could be everyday. This feeling would be consistent, but they were deep in a mess, and had other people involved. There seemed like was no way out, and the water they were in kept rising, and soon they would both drown in this disaster. "How are we going to do this?" He murmured in her ear. He wanted to figure it out, but he already knew there was not going to be an easy fix for all of this.

Vee moved slowly with his body. She didn't hear anything from him, so she didn't feel any pain, and that was perfect. She was so relaxed. Feeling his body against hers, she wanted it to be like this everyday. She wanted him to be hers and her him. She wanted to love him and tell him that she loves him. But they couldn't. She held tightly onto him, not even noticing it. She loves him, there was nothing that could change it. But there was nothing that could let her show him and the world. She heard him ask her a question she wished he didn't. She stayed quite at first, not moving to pick up her head or opening her eyes. After a few seconds she said, "theirs nothing we can do go now." She knew he wouldn't like the answer. But she had to say it.

Jeydon sighed. There was something he could do now to start the process so that they could be together.
"I could break up with Hayden...." His voice trailed off. Jeydon did not want to hurt anyone. Ever. It was never his intention to hurt Hayden. He honestly thought that he could have something special with her, but this whole time he was looking for the same love Vee and him had. He now knew he would only find that kind of love with Vee. He only got this feeling when he was with her. "Hayden deserves to be with someone who will love her wholeheartedly. I rather hurt her now than later when we have spent more time together. It is not fair to her to be with someone who does not love her with all their heart. She deserves that." He said trying to prove to Vee that this is what should be done. He did not need to wait anymore. What would be the point in that? It would be almost like playing with her emotions if he did, and he was not that type of guy.

Vee picked her head up from his shoulder and shook her head eagerly as he spoke. She didn't want to hear it. "No.No.No" she said. She knew he had a point. Break up with her now rather than stay with her and hurt her. But she still couldn't bring herself to allow it. "Hayden really likes you. She spoke about you so many times without using your name. She'll be devastated if you broke up with her, especially since she just told us who you are." She looked up into her eyes, pleading him to listen to her. She may be doing the wrong thing. But she had to, she told herself. Hayden is her best friend. "I don't want you to break up with her because of your feelings for me. I won't forgive my self." She told him. "Just wait... Please. Until... Until we can figure it all out." She didn't know what she was saying we. She knew she couldn't be with him. Not because of Hayden of Jake, but because of her secret. He would find out, and she couldn't have that.

Jeydon nodded. He knew where she was coming from. He may not understand, but he wanted her to be happy. If staying with Hayden is what she wanted him to do, he would. Jeydon would do anything for her.
"I know Hayden likes me, and I really like her too, but it is nothing compared to what I feel for you," Jeydon said as he brushed a piece of hair out of her eyes.
"But I will wait for when you are ready. I will always wait for you Vee. You are my one in a million, and I am not going to let you go so easily." He said as the music softly shut off in the background. He still swayed her around the room, but to no music this time.
"I just want to figure all this out soon. We have already been separated for way to long." He sighed as he looked at her face and softly smiled at her beauty.

He was going to wait for her. That made her happy. But how long would he wait for her? A few days? A week? A month? A couple? What if things just got worse. That seemed to be the only thing happening with them. But she didn't say that to him. Instead she said softly to him, "I do to..." She wanted to figure it all out too because she didn't know what was really going on. She wanted answers to how this was all happening. Vee swayed with him even when the music stopped. She really didn't want this day to end. "I'm just as lost as you are." She whispered and looked down so she wouldn't have to look at him.

((Maybe later on a secret relationship can start with Jake and Hayden because they felt bad for Vee and Jeydon, not knowing they would like it. Something like that? But later.))
