William, is this a horror novel for young adults?
Are the friends in the car all teenagers? All boys?
Are the friends in the car all teenagers? All boys?

Are the friends in the car all teenagers? All boys?"
I believe so, I read it in Middle School, they had it at their library.
And there was one girl I think. The rest was boys.

(Google search - site:www.goodreads.com mystery friends drinking "car accident" driver survivors killed "one by one")
Mind you, my recollection of the book won't be 100% but I do remember a few details if not precisely.
I remember on the cover it had what looked to be a silhouette of Freddy Krueger with what appeared to be a night time woods setting.
But as for the story, here are some bits that I do remember.
- The story starts off with a bunch of friends that are out drinking together and having a good time, it isn't long that they somehow or another get in a real bad car accident.
The only person that didn't survive the crash was the designated driver.
Not too soon after the survivors of the crash are picked off one by one until only the main character remains, he is then confronted by the killer who I think revealed himself to be the brother of the designated driver that died in the crash because of them being rowdy while he was trying to drive.
The main character is then almost buried alive and that's all that I can really remember.
I do remember after each victim was picked off they used the old rhyme "Ten Little Indians" or whatever it was called with it becoming less and less after each one was picked off.
I really hope to at least find out the name of the book. I've been trying to find it for years.
