If I Stay discussion

The dialogue in "if i stay" by Gayle Forman is very important. Although I have just started the story, I have observed how the dialogue has had an impact. For example, "Parents DOA. Boy approximately 7 years-old, right behind us." This has an impact because Mia's soul was right there when she heard that news. Because of what that nurse called out, she knows her parents are DOA (Dead On Arrival). Without that dialogue, Mia wouldn't know that her parents just passed away. That is how dialogue in "if i stay" by Gayle Forman is important.

I agree with you that the dialogue informed Mia of the bad news. That was a good example of how dialogue is important tot he book.
