Book Club discussion

I'm going to go ahead and say that this has been my favourite book club book so far.

I like short stories, and I found the stories in this book very all about people with whom I could not generally relate to if I were to meet them, but who were given a very clear and relatable voice through the stories.

I can't remember the name of the story, but the one about the shapeshifter near the start of the book.

Generally speaking I'm a person who likes mythology more than I like magic. I'm not sure what the difference is, but what I mean are traditions, and adding meanings to things above and beyond what are actually happening.

Even the way the stories blend together, and the characters interact with each other. Each story builds towards a bigger meaning and understanding to some greater personal mystery that people are working to solve, but no one really knows.

To me, that's the best part of literature, getting to see the little pieces of the puzzle that other people are holding that you can't find for yourself.
