A Good Thriller discussion

I'm in San Diego for ComicCon. I've been going for about 30 years, and this year is going to be very different because of the strikes. I spent a couple of hours with some of the schedulers last night, and it's crazy how it has had to pivot in the last week.

IT’S FALL!

Happy fall! I am currently in San Diego for work, but can't wait to ger home to the mid-west to see the leaves change color.

Thursday night, I was rushed to hospital with what the doctors think was an Diabetic Explosion !! ??

Yes, I have never heard of it.

But with life now in retirement so many busy with sports, charity work, gardening, my sugars rush up and down, with very active sport.

Some times 3 sports in a day for 6/7 hours.

It causes the organs to react badly causing massive bouts of sickness and diarrhoea, on Thursday up to 4 hours, then in hospital for 7 hours on two bags of liquid, painkillers, anti-sickness.

Taken the whole weekend resting and recovering, started back today with snooker.

Trying to spread my sports, Jersey Zoo and St John's Ambulance companion work in between gardening, cleaning etc..

Wives hospital appointments, as she has Pulmonary Embolism at Christmas, has bad back, bad foot and HRT, and not allowed pain killers or HRT tablets.

She's always hot, im always cold !

But I just love my busy and enjoyable life, just have to found a way to look after my health, while enjoying the sport.

Next week having covid and flu jab !

I went to the hospital to get my shoulder X-rayed. it found nothing. need a MRI.

Where has the year gone.

I have retired for over two years now, and find I am busier than ever....

I thank all our long standing members for their loyalty, some have been members for nine years !!

I hope we continue to grow, but more so more members join in.

I hope we all stay healthy and happy

So also important to myself and my wife, as I am on slow insulin and rapid insulin, for about two months, hard to judge playing so much sport.

My wife still recovering from her DVT and PE from last Christmas, not allowed pian killers or HRT.

Health is so important as we get older.

Look after each other.

I am proud of this group, with over 16,000 members and growing daily.
