It is absolutely beautiful here today in Minnesota, 60 F degrees, blue sky, mild breeze...sitting on my deck having a smoothy.

Friends and Members, Hi

Away only for nine hours doing my jewellery stall, and off to tennis in 1/2 hour.

But I do like to pop into the group and check everybody is happy !!

I like us ALL to be happy, and we all have different personalities, but I ask we keep reasonable standards, as I do not want the problems we have had recently.

Dips are great friend and moderator dropped himself as a moderator, Daniel has left the group, I have spent many hard hours to build this group, and have many loyal members, Ruth included, and I do not want to lose her.

I do not want to lose anyone, but gain nice people, not lose members.

I really want to make this a great place for people to come, and do not mind a good joke and laugh, but we have a varied membership and we have to respect many of their thoughts and opinions.

Oh dear!! Hadn't seen any of that. Can see why Ruth was offended. Shame, clearly none of it was intentional, and no harm was meant. Hope it can all be resolved happily, lovely crowd here :)

Aaron it's still raining here. It really is crap today. We're supposed to be heading towards Summer?!! Kids' sports day was cancelled yesterday, they were not happy!

oh sad to hear about Dips. I hope he is still a member. noticed he has been silent.

Sean you have done a great job and should be proud. There are many personalities in a group this large and like a family, we are going to have our problems. I hope everybody just stays and works through it like a family. Just respect everybody. I love this group.

I hope no one else leaves. I like having people to talk to and discuss books with here and stuff.

Its raining, its a holiday weekend. I'm not doing anything today but relaxing catching up on sleep & reading. And catching up with my GR friends in between naps! This fatigue is getting to me!

Yep lavada and I hope so too. Overdosed on orange juice yesterday, been blowing my brains out to try to get the crud out of my nasal passages, and been taking medicine and allergy pills. Hopefully this will end soon.

Ruth I understand the flare! With PsA its the same. Luckily my flare ups are mainly in winter but the fatigue us extreme right now. Hope you're flare up lets up!

Amber, you need homemade chicken noodle soup! Cure all! (at least makes you feel better)

I don't eat soup. LOL. My dad said I needed a hot toddy but I'm just going to keep on keeping fluids down me and everything so I can get better. I might need to take some mucinex later anyway.

Good idea, moving on. Maybe Alan is right, a separate thread for a bit of cheeky humour might be the way to go. That way all this could be avoided. We're all human, not meant to be perfect. Gosh, can you imagine, how boring would that be?!! We'd all be robots!!

Thanks Lavada. :)I'm not doing much today either. Will prob watch more of Attack on Titan later which my sister recommended I check out. It is a messed up but pretty good horror anime then will read later. If I feel better, I might go to the free Shakespeare play tonight.

Ruth, You seem to me, to be an intelligent woman of sound judgement. You shouldn't feel the need to apologize or explain. Your comments yesterday were justified.

Aaron, I see you can be a gentleman-from other comments on other threads-so I know this will all pass.

All that being said, let's take Alan's advice and move on.

As both an author, and an avid reader, what I like about this group is the enthusiasm each member brings to the table. Book clubs should be fun, sometimes serious and sometimes silly.

Alan, thanks for being you. Amber, get well soon. Lavada, you have wonderful maternal instincts. Malina and Janet, hope to hear more from both of you.

And Sean, you sir, are to be commended. This is a great group, with just the right mix of serious and silly. I'm glad to be a part of it.
