What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

hi, im looking for a book but i can't remember the title or the author. if you can please suggest books that have similar storyline that would be great.

a little about the book i'm looking for: Warning - spoiler alert
the book is a regency/historical romance and its about heroine who is living with her uncle because she is a poor relation and is treated like a servant instead of family, she is more of a servant than a companion to her cousin who is not a nice person. the heroine meets the hero at the theater when she bends down to pick up something for her cousin and her cousin purposely steps on her hand. When the hero learns about her situation, he organised for her to move in with his aunt or grandmother which really upsets her cousin and her aunt. just before the end the aunt tries to kill the heroine in an alley because she got everything that the aunt wanted for her daughter who had to leave the country with her fiance because the cousin had her fiance try to hurt the heroine but the hero arrives in time to save the heroine.

It's not Cousin Kate. In that one, (view spoiler)[Kate is taken in by her Aunt who wants her to marry her cousin who is insane. (hide spoiler)] Don't know about the others, since I haven't read them, but I do love my Georgette Heyer's.

Possibly Mistaken Mistress. It doesn't' sound like it in the blurb but the part with the cruel aunt trying to shoot her in the alley does happen.

Oh I did get some details wrong or mixed them up with another book but Mistaken Mistress is the book I was looking for thank you so much @Beebs
