What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

So it's a book that's been around for a couple of years at least since I read it in high school. My guess is mid 2000s? From what I remember the series has 3 or 4 books. The story line is of a girl who has some kind of powers (I can't quite remember if it's controlling things or telekinesis or what exactly) I know she's on the run from these people who I think want to "help her and others like her" but she doesn't trust them. There's a boy who is the love interest who helps her be on the run. Eventually I know she gets caught and taken to the facility where they control the kids with drugs and light colors and patterns. If I remember right the covers of the books are each a solid color like blue red or green. I may have things wrong, but any help would be appreciated (: my sister and I would like to revisit the series!

So I just figured out the book title a month or so ago (sorry I haven't been on much and yes it took me over a year to figure out haha). The book title is Awakening and it's a part of the Chasing Yesterday series. Thank you to everyone who tried to help!
