I'm planning to read book 1 of the Engineer Trilogy: Devices and Desires (Engineer Trilogy, #1) by K.J. Parker

Another book with an (electrical) engineer is Heinlein: The Door Into Summer by Robert A. Heinlein

Ronni (rgnimps) | 17 comments My job is best described as a cross between a civil engineer and an city planner. I think I'm going to read The Great Bridge: The Epic Story of the Building of the Brooklyn Bridge, about the Roeblings and the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge.

I just stumbled upon another book featuring an "engineer" (a "spaceship engineer" ... so more like Chekhov than actual engineer, but whatever): Ascension by Jacqueline Koyangi.

Gets a poor review on SBTB however: http://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/re...
