I liked this story. It made me think of my husband, and I often wonder about the "what if"s with us, what if we had met later in life, what if my parents hadn't let me stay out later the night we first hung out, etc.

The story also reminds me of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which is one of my favorite movies so I often am reminded of it, in the sense that even in the scenario that things happened differently, they still found their way to each other. It is a romantic notion.

Ooh. That's one of MY favorite movies as well. Guess I will have to read this soon :)

I read this story last week. It was excellent. I could see this as a twilight zone episode featuring Fred MacMurry and Doris Day. 4 stars.
