In some cases, a book may be originally published under a pen name, but then later reissued under the author's original name. When this happens, the author listed for any and all editions should be the author name the book was originally published under - so the reissued edition would need its primary author name changed to the originally published pen name, with the additional name added as secondary for all editions with it on the cover. Doing this will allow the various editions to be combined.
@Rivka, Thanks for the reply. Here, author has never changed her pen-name or reissued books nder original name. Her original name is Kamala which was later modified to Kamala Surrayya. And all writings are under name Kamala Das (English) or Madhavikutty (Malayalam). Even DC Books, Malayalam's #1 Publishing house consider only pen names while listing her as an author. http://onlinestore.dcbooks.com/author...

Nope. The published books uses her pen name.
There is a person with name A, later changed to B, who used to write using pen names X and Y. Now Goodreads has two profiles - B and X. And same books are mentioned as work of both authors (separately or as co-writer). What should I do to avoid duplication?

Don't we usually go with the more complete name in instances like this?

Only if the more complete name appears on at least some editions (or the author prefers it).

The above listed two author profile belongs to one person - Kamala Surayya, who was born as Kamala, used pen name Madhavikutty while writing in Malayalam and used own name Kamala Das while publishing English works. She later changed her name to Kamala Surrayya, when she embraced to Islam at age of 65.
How should I combine these author profiles, so that I can combine / remove book duplication?
