First off, any idea of the author's nationality? Brit, Ozzie, Kiwi?
Did you read it FOR school or while at school?

Would help even more if I could stop getting it to show me the page in frikken Russian!

I read it while at school. It is a fantasy book. I can't remember too many other details except that the main character is a farm boy who has to fulfill a prophecy and travel somewhere. He stays with some elves and had a brother who died and who the main character was sure the prophecy was meant to apply to.
That's all I remember. I remember it being really good and was hoping to read it again.

Don't know if it's got all the information in, GR blurb is minimal though...

Not many fantasies use that trope ;)

Pretty sure its not Pawn of Prophesy. I've read that many times, and there is no Cadfael in it, and no brother either.

Bother, sorry! I'll have another look tomorrow :)

I think I read it early 90's. 91, 92 time.
I have a vague memory that the cover was green with a white heading.
I will try google again.

But are you sure you want to re-read? I've done this on a couple of occasions – read a book I read long ago – and all it did was ruin a good memory.
I am hoping someone can help me. I am looking for a book I read in Primary school. I am sure it was called The Prophecy, but I could be wrong. All I remember is that the main character had a dead brother named Cadfael who had been killed by a horse kicking him.
I have searched google but keep finding the Brother Cadfael chronicles which is not what I am looking for.
The book must have been published in the late 80's, early 90's.
Any help would be most appreciated.
