Geekella ...as few plot holes and character holes as possible

I know sometimes it's inevitable to have one or two "holes" in a plot or a character design, and i can look past that. But I've had a hard time recently with finding YA books/series that aren't absolutely riddled with these "holes". So much to the point that i can't shut my brain off to them past a certain length in the book.

So I'd like for you all to suggest to me your favorite YA stand alones or series that you feel had very few (or no) "holes"

My favorite kind of YA is fantasy. A perfect example of the kind of book or series I'm looking for is like The Raven Cycle series!! But I'm open to other book types too!!

Thanks for your help!

Heidi Angell (heidiangell) | 82 comments Have you read A Wrinkle in Time It is an oldie, but a goodie! I also love the early Dragon Lance series... once the author started bringing on guest authors the holes got to be a bit much... Also, Terry Brooks but those might be getting too much into fantasy, and less YA.

How do you feel about YA urban fantasy?

Grace (markedforcourt) This isn't really fantasy but I really enjoyed Will Grayson, Will Grayson and as far as I remember there aren't many if any real big plot holes (it's been a while).
