jb Byrkit (jbbyrkit) I'm torn between liking the story and not. I enjoy the main mystery of the deaths, but these monks sure aren't very monk like.

Renee M Lol. I know what you mean. Ecco is deliberately showing us the worst sides of the characters. Surely there must have been SOME fellows who joined because they had true calling. And who weren't all twists up in zealotry.

I wish I knew more about him.

jb Byrkit (jbbyrkit) Well I'm to the part where the delegates have arrived. Everyone is suspect and plotting.

Renee M Oh yes. That's where I started to suspect that things were things were not going to go well for everyone.

It's probably like any other group, religious, political, or otherwise. Most of them are in it for the right reasons, but the ones that aren't are often the ones with the loudest voices are the ones we hear about.

Renee M Lol. We're definitely not hearing about Brother Tom and Brother Harry who are just doing their jobs and saying their prayers. Of course, they're probably not whacking priests.

jb Byrkit (jbbyrkit) Ha too true! William and Adso are headed back to the library. I get lost just reading about that labyrinth, but it's fascinating. I liked how William was mean to Bernard with his round about phrases.
