Catherine Bruno | 771 comments Finished Shadow of the Fox, which was pretty good. Just started reading Between Shades of Gray.

Elora Mitchell | 449 comments Between Shades of Gray is so good! Have you read any of her other works?

message 4153: by Elora (new)

Elora Mitchell | 449 comments I just finished Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk. What a delight it was to read. The author seamlessly wrote present and past scenes in such a way that you have no idea you’re in a backstory until you’re knew-deep.
The main character has such a strong voice.

Catherine Bruno | 771 comments @Elora No this is the first one I’ve read by her but Salt to the Sea is on my TBR.

message 4155: by Elora (new)

Elora Mitchell | 449 comments @Catherine I hope you enjoy! Sepetys is one of my favorite authors. ☺️

message 4158: by Donna (last edited Feb 17, 2019 10:51AM) (new)

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments I’m on the third book ICE BY a Wendeberg Ice (1/2986 #3) by Annelie Wendeberg and the first Defectors The Defectors (The Defectors, #1) by Tarah Benner and like them both. I am retreading the Wendeberg series. It was on Kindle Unlimited when I first read them. Now I have to buy them. Worth it.

I hadn't done much reading for a little while, but I've been reading like crazy the last 4 days or so!

I've finished:

Homebody A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave by Joanna Gaines Which of course was good, it actually gave me some great ideas. Has great tips and design plans in it.

All the Ever Afters The Untold Story of Cinderella’s Stepmother by Danielle Teller which I really liked! I was hoping I would. Its pretty slow moving, but I was so hooked into this woman's life story. At the end, you still feel bad for her, and recognize she's not evil, but she still is a villain in my book, just based on some of the things she did. Of course, this is all hypothetical in this context :)

Daughters of the Storm (Blood and Gold, #1) by Kim Wilkins which was also very good. Had a "Game of Thrones" feel about it with the characters and drama. I especially liked the 5 sisters and their dynamics with each other. This was an advent book from Karen. Karen, this was a good one! I will definitely be reading the sequel.

Dumplin' (Dumplin' #1) by Julie Murphy which was cute! I really enjoyed the message and the characters. Can't wait to watch the movie now!

Next I'm reading North of Happy by Adi Alsaid

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments I am listening to The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker and it is really good about a woman who is taken from her royal palace and made a slave to Achilles. It is from a woman's perspective.

Right now I'm reading Love Unrehearsed (Love, #2) by Tina Reber on my Kindle. I loved the first book, but feeling kind of meh on this one, although I'm not far in. I'm going to give it a bit longer.

And next I'm going to be starting A Million Junes by Emily Henry
