The festival sounds fun!

I finished Love Unrehearsed (Love, #2) by Tina Reber I liked the first one a little better, but still an entertaining read.

I finished Stay Sweet by Siobhan Vivian which was really cute. I'd def recommend for a summer read.

Also finished Dreamology by Lucy Keating another cute read, although not that believable. But fun for what it was.

I'm reading Air Awakens (Air Awakens, #1) by Elise Kova which I'm really liking , and Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple which is just hilarious!

Catherine Bruno | 771 comments I finished Five Feet Apart, which I loved! I was also glad that it didn't end the way I thought it would. Now reading Vicious by V.E. Schwab because she's going to be at Yallwest this year and I wanted to read more of her books. And also going back to reading A Monster Calls since I will be teaching it in my support classes.

Glad to see so much reading going on! As for me, alas I have not read anything in about a month. My schedule is so hectic that when I do have some "free" time it's easier to put on Netflix :) I'm really hoping to get out of my reading funk this year! (sooner rather than later would be nice)

Ah, this is a bummer! I understand, I went through a mini slump in February, but my reading seems to be bouncing back!

I’m in a bit of a slump as well, David. And also because I’ve been so busy. If I read I pretty much fall asleep a chapter or two later. 😝

Sarah (geekymom13) I finished Shadow of The Fox (Shadow of the Fox, #1) by Julie Kagawa yesterday, and I thought it was really good! I love Japanese culture. Throw in some magic and Demons, and I'm hooked. :) I'm finally reading Ruin and Rising (The Shadow and Bone Trilogy, #3) by Leigh Bardugo so I can read King of Scars! I read Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom already and adore them, but wanted to read the others assuming I would get some spoilers. :)

message 4216: by Elora (new)

Elora Mitchell | 449 comments Wise choice, Sarah. There are huge spoilers in King of Scars. Also, the characters won’t mean as much if you don’t know their backstories. ☺️

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 12932 comments Mod
I still need to do my reread of Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom! I keep forgetting to get them off of my shelves (they're kinda buried right now)...

message 4218: by Elora (new)

Elora Mitchell | 449 comments Oh no, Jenny! But if they’re buried in books, that’s kinda awesome. ☺️
Hope you can get to them soon.

They are buried in books :)

The beginning of the year, I rearranged my shelves. I have 2 large shelves that are deep enough to double stack. In the past, the back has TBR books and I put my pretty books and series in the front, most of them the ones I've read.

Well, I realized that I often forgot what books I even had in the back. What I owned, and then if I did remember, finding them was a disaster! So I put my books I've read in the back, and my TBR books in the front. They don't look as pretty, but its more practical. I do have a few shelves that I dedicate to certain authors, so I left those alone though. But most of the books I look at on my shelves right now I haven't read. Great motivation for me!

It’s going to be like teaching Where the Red Fern Grows, I’m going to need to make sure I have tissues. Anyway, still reading Vicious and plan on starting On the Come-Up.

I've finished a few books:

Peter and the Shadow Thieves (Peter and the Starcatchers, #2) by Dave Barry good adventure and continuation of the series

Air Awakens (Air Awakens, #1) by Elise Kova Really liked this world and concept

Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple This was hilarious at times, other times very sad and almost bleak. Overall, I really liked it.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid Favorite book of the year so far! So so so good! 5 stars!!! I want to read it again!

Right now I'm reading Shakespeare The World as Stage by Bill Bryson which is really interesting. Learning a lot about the time period.

Also doing a reread of Crossed (Matched, #2) by Ally Condie

Just finished King of Scars (Nikolai Duology, #1) by Leigh Bardugo which I enjoyed by the end. I struggled a bit in the middle and it took me forever to read.

Now I'm head over heels in love with Aurora Rising (The Aurora Cycle, #1) by Jay Kristoff so far! Amie and Jay have another winner on their hands!!
