I use a program called Blasty.com (they are looking for more free beta users): in Chrome, Blasty identifies sites where your IP (in my case, the book title) is showing up in Google results. If it is a site that doesn't have your permission, you blast the link, and the program will eventually remove it. It's very beta in that it seems to take a while to get them removed, but it's not costing me anything.
The free is supposed to entice people; I think people who use those sites get what they deserve. I don't even know if they actually provide you with the free download, but you would end up spending a lot of time cleaning up your credit rating and your computer if you were unlucky.

Perhaps I ought to pirate the reviews and claim that Yoda likes my book

I use Blasty.com - a beta site where you list your content items. It searches (on Chrome) and asks you if the google finds violate your copyright. If they do, you click Blast - and eventually they are supposed to go away.
Unfortunately, these sites multiply like rabbits.
Those who download from them should beware: the sites are often phishing scams or load malware onto your computer if you go for the 'free' downloads (and I would think you would get what you deserve).
Directed by Google when I was looking for Tallis Steelyard. It offers free Lambent Dreams but look at the reviews!
