Why are some posts on my Goodreads blog appearing in duplicate form? The same post appears twice. Is there some way to delete the duplicate posts? (My Goodreads blog comes in from an external blog feed.)

Hi Linda. So sorry for the trouble! It looks like your most recent blog post imported without any trouble, but I'd be happy to ask one of our engineers to look into this, should the duplicate posting persist.

If you'd like to remove these duplicates, here's how:

1. Navigate to your author profile.
2. Click on your blog's header to get to the blog.
3. Click on the title of the blog post you'd like to remove.
4. On the far right side, you'll see a bubble with a gray "delete" link (it's next to "edit this post"). Click that and confirm.

I am having this problem too. Blog posts and reviews are duplicated. I go through the procedure of deleting the duplicates as per your instructions but to no avail. People are using the duplicates so comments and views will be wiped out when one of the duplicates is eventually removed. There appears to be no control over this problem; it is getting tiresome! Help would be appreciated.

J.J. would you mind walking me through the process you're following when adding your blog to the site? Are you manually entering this, or just using the rss feed option?

I am using the Goodreads blog as my main blog, so I simply type and post.
I might add that even my book reviews are duplicated.

Thanks for the added info! Where are you seeing the duplicate book reviews? If possible, can you post a link?

J.J. it looks like you're feeding your Goodreads reviews onto your blog. Is this something you may have set up?

Your blog is also set to feed into your Goodreads blog, which means that these are being posted on Goodreads > sent to your blog > sent back to Goodreads, hence the double posts.

Many thanks for this info, Jaclyn. I have tried to set feeds up, but I must admit that I wasn't sure how to do it. Are you able to guide me through correcting this situation? Your input would be appreciated because I don't want to make the problem worse.

Hi Jaclyn. As I want to post my reviews onto my blog, would it be best to copy and paste, rather than set up a feed?

Sorry for my delayed response – I've been down with the flu! I've gone ahead and disconnected your two blogs on our side. This means that your blogs should still feed from Goodreads onto your external blog, but not from your blog to us. Let me know if it continues to post incorrectly.
