Maddy I'm pleased to announce that our very own J.A. Redmerski will be joining us for a Q&A! Have burning questions about the series? General questions about the writing process? About Jessica herself? Leave your questions below!

message 2: by Imani (new)

Imani (imani_) | 13 comments Hey, J.A. I have almost read all of your books. Which one do you have a fond memory of and which one had you stumped?

message 3: by Lillian (new)

Lillian | 24 comments Wow this is so exciting. First off, I just want to say that I LOVE In the Company of Killers so so much. I own all the books in kindle edition and paperback because I can't bear to damage the paperbacks lol. Thank you for creating these amazing characters and stories. I hope you continue to write about them for a long time. That leads me to my first question. How many books do you foresee this series having? I'm constantly worried that the next book will be the last. I don't know when I'll be ready to let Victor & co. go.

message 4: by Betül (new)

Betül (gemiinii) | 15 comments Hi Jessica, the ItCoK series is one of my all time favorites! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer our questions ;)

Here is mine: Which of the books in this series was the most difficult to write and why?

message 5: by Alessia (last edited Apr 29, 2016 01:16PM) (new)

Alessia C. | 51 comments Thank you for doing this Jessica!!

My question - who is your favorite male and female character in the series? No cop out answer!!

message 6: by Trudy (new)

Trudy Budzinski | 1 comments Super excited about this and I think it is awesome that you are doing a Q&A. Your fans really appreciate it!!! My question is.. if you could identify with any one of your characters. Who would represent your character the most and why?

message 7: by Alessia (new)

Alessia C. | 51 comments 2. What has been most surprising for you about ItCoK, whether it's fan reactions or a particular scene you never saw coming, what has surprised you most?

message 8: by Amélie (new)

Amélie Victoria Quinn (noctvrnal) | 42 comments Thrilled to have you here J.A. Thanks for spending time with us! My questions are:

What has been the most difficult scene/book for you to write?

Do you have any writing rituals?

If you could hang out with one of the killers for a day, who would you pick and what would you guys do?

message 9: by Spring (new)

Spring | 14 comments Thank you for stopping by to answer our questions Jessica! We're so happy to have you here! I hope you're doing a lot better. Please know that we're always here for you. So without further ado, my questions are, why do you think Seraphina is such a popular character (arguably the most popular female killer in this series)? What was in your mind while creating this beautiful disaster? How do you think readers will feel when you write the next Fredrik book considering so many people are firmly Seraphina + Fredrik shippers?

message 10: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions, Jessica! I'll throw in one myself. What projects are you currently working on now?

message 11: by Nina (new)

Nina (tendercurios) | 7 comments Thanks for doing this Q&A J.A. Redmerski!

I hate to get my hopes up but the girls on tumblr have been in quite the tizzy as well. I remember you sharing a Seraphina teaser a while back. Does this mean Seraphina is getting another book?! Just put us out of our misery now so I can report back to everyone on tumblr! Thanks again.

message 12: by Edvard (new)

Edvard | 16 comments Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to answer our questions. It goes without saying that we are incredibly appreciative of the exciting stories you have weaved and the complex characters you have created. My questions are as followed; What are some challenges that you have faced while writing this series? Have you considered which character you will focus on for the seventh book?

message 13: by Jennie (new)

Jennie | 5 comments I saw the diversity question on your page and was wondering if you would ever considering adding a half Asian or Asian (anti)heroine to the cast of killers? We've had Caucasian, Latin, & black (coming soon according to your Pinterest!) characters, so just some food for thought. :-)

message 14: by Lillian (new)

Lillian | 24 comments I just thought of some fun questions!!

1. Screw, Marry, or Kill game with your male assassins? Personally I'd marry Victor, screw Fredrik, and kill Niklas :P

2. Victor's Order is pitted against each other in a death match. Only 1 person can make it out alive. Wits, guts, guns and glory, who would survive??!

3. Can you name whether each character is an introvert or extrovert? (Bonus if you know about the MBTI, what would be each character's type?)

4. If your characters were Greek gods/goddesses, who would be who?

You definitely don't have to answer all these questions, I just thought I'd throw in some funs ones!!

message 15: by Dina (new)

Dina | 5 comments Hi, I'm a massive fan of your INCOK series, it's definitely one of my favourites and I can't wait for the next book to come out. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind me asking

Is the next book only going to be told from Victor and Izabel pov or are we also going to be get Niklas and Fredrick pov?

Will the new characters introduced become part of the series or are they just side characters that will only appear in the next book?

Also not really a question but I'm really curious about who Fredrick love interest will be, if he get's one that is. I'm probably in the minority here but I never liked him with Seraphina they were too dysfunctional and Nora is too similar to her so I'm hoping it's someone new. Either It's going to be really exciting to see what happens!

message 16: by Mclena (last edited Apr 30, 2016 08:45AM) (new)

Mclena | 16 comments Hello Jessica,
after the blurb of the book nr. 6 I can't stop thinking about what we will find there, especially after some teasers when I was nearly positive that Victor will sacrifice his love to Isabel, and Nora would take the part to break Isabel's heart (as a Victor's "secret lover"), but now... I can't even think about any good question.... just wan't to read it. But I'm wondering like @Lillian how many books do you plan for this series - I will read the answer for Lillian - no need to write twice ;)
I'm checking also inthecompanyofkillers.com every couple of days and I would like to know if you will continue to add some more extras e.g. photos of characters (like there is Niklas and Nora), add new of them and descriptions, stats?

I hope you feel better now, we all love you to bits!

Avephoenix Rising | 1 comments Please, can you give us the status on The Black Wolf audio version of the book? Thanks for the amazing quality of the work you present to us. Best audiobooks I have ever enjoy.

message 18: by Amélie (new)

Amélie Victoria Quinn (noctvrnal) | 42 comments Why is Seraphina the greatest character of all time? *drops mic*

haha

message 19: by Beatrice (last edited Apr 30, 2016 06:41AM) (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Hi Ms. Redmerski! What's your inspiration to write ITCoK? They're so different with your contemporaries (and it's amazing! I really love your books). Also, will Fredrik have a love life? haha

message 20: by Amara (new)

Amara | 1 comments Does that mean that Izabel and Niklas will never have a relationship? I never shipped them before but after reading the black wolf I kind of whan to see them end together. I guess it's the forbidden love and the love-hate romance thing that appeals to me and their dynamic is much more interesting in my opinion. Plus they're both my favourite characters in the series

Thank you for answering my question! I'm relieved to hear you don't see the end yet. Cheers to many more books with our favorite killers!!

And I'm also so glad to hear you didn't go the Savages route LOL, I guess I'm not a fan of love triangles.

I feel the same! Sooo glad that Isabel and Victor stayed together, but after book 5... there where some moments when I could see Isabel and Niklas together. I think because Victor is so withdrawn, and Niklas is more... emotional? Better match for Isabel in that area, and sometimes Isabel and Victor are more about "business" (Isabel is trying to prove herself as often as possible) than love... but still they have special past, and I think it would destroy me to see them apart.

message 23: by Lo Bookfrantic (new)

Lo Bookfrantic | 29 comments Hi Jessica! I'm in love with this series and I will wait till the end of time for more of your books. I just got back from vacation so I need to catch up on this thread. Forgive me if this has already been asked. While on vacation I noticed someone posting release date is May 1st? But I just checked my newsfed was told is not? Either way I'm ok just curious if you had a release date for this book? Thanks for your time. :)

message 24: by Dina (new)

Dina | 5 comments Thanks for answering my question! I forgot to ask though will Izabel's child make an appearance some time in the series? I really hope so as that would be interesting

message 25: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) thank you for answering my question! i am surely looking forward on the upcoming books in this series. (and prepare my heart for Fredrik's love life. hahaha! )

Thank you thank you thank you a million times. I think that's exactly why so many love Seraphina. I couldn't have worded it more perfectly. You are seriously the best. I will never lose faith! Thank you for talking about Seraphina. She's just my favorite character ever and it makes me so happy to see that you love her too.

Jennie | 5 comments J.A. wrote: "I'm glad you asked this question, Marceline! :-) Yes, there will definitely be an Asian main character later in the series. As well as Latin, among others. I want this series to be diverse so that not only everyone can enjoy it and relate to the characters, but because I think diversity is important, and it's something we need more of. "

Yaaaaaaaaasssss, Queen! *bows down*

I love Victor and Izabel so much but I was kind of hoping to see the connection between Izabel and Niklas explored a bit more in future books. Either way, I know that whatever does or doesn't happen in any of the upcoming storylines, the books will always be amazing.
