Abby | 12 comments Some of my favorite character dynamics have been:
Mac and Barron's in the fever series
Jane and bruiser/ Leo in the yellow rock series
Cat and bones in the halfway to the grave series
Kate and curran in the magic series
& the list goes on.... I really am looking for the next sink your teeth in, romance building, kick ass female in the UF genera. Please any recommendations would go far ;) thanks

message 2: by Cee (new)

Cee (simplystrange) Have you tried the Charley Davidson series?? She is pretty cool albeit not really kickass. She is a private eye grim reaper with an amazing sense of humor and her love interest is the son of satan. Funny, death, murder mysteries, and romance. Might work... although it does miss the female kickass-ery.

message 3: by Abby (new)

Abby | 12 comments I have she's defiantly one of my favorites I didn't even think to add to that list :/ I feel like I've read them all lol

message 4: by Cee (new)

Cee (simplystrange) How about Graceling it is YA so, the romance is there but physical stuff happens in the background. The women in the books are pretty kickass though.
A Kiss of Shadows? Maybe... It has been YEARS since I've read it though...
Stray is either you love it or hate it I suppose.

message 5: by Abby (new)

Abby | 12 comments I haven't read those at all! I'll have to look into them, thank you!

Brittany | 9 comments Burn for me by Ilona andrews? I love mad rogan! I also love the caged series by Amber Lynn natusch!

message 7: by Kristal (new)

Kristal Fleming (kristal_mckerrington) | 26 comments What about one of these?

Savor (Warm Delicacy, #1) by Megan Duncan
Ink and Bone (The Great Library, #1) by Rachel Caine

message 8: by Kristal (new)

Kristal Taylor (brilliant50) | 156 comments Oh what about Supernatural Prison. I absolutely loved that series. The books takes longer to read but so worth it.

message 9: by Kimberley (new)

Kimberley (xangelfreak) | 3 comments I loved the chemistry between cat and bones and have never really found a series that compares to it, I love how the sane couple run through every book rather than it being a new couple each time like a lot of PNR books.

If anyone has read anything similar I would be interested to hear.

As for a recommendation, have you tried the study series? It's YA, but I've heard it's good, it's currently on my tbr pile!

message 10: by Shelli (new)

Shelli Have you ever read Laurell K Hamilton's Guilty Pleasures series? It's really good, although the farther into the series you get, the more sex you get. Don't know if that's a pro or con for you. Lol

message 11: by Shelli (new)

Shelli You should also check out Mason Sabres books. His Society series is awesome!

message 12: by Liz (new)

Liz | 7 comments Check out Memoirs of a Girl Wolf--kick ass female protagonist, good romance, and it will get you hooked with the first chapter.

message 13: by Dy anne (new)

Dy anne Sturdivant | 4 comments Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane is the first in a series and is my altime favorite! It's smart, gritty, sexy and a mystery all wrapped in one.

Laurell k Hamilton Anita Blake series is a badass heroine I liked the first 5 books so well I reread them every other year.

message 16: by Annie (new)

Annie (anncraven) | 1 comments Struck (Phoebe Meadows, #1) by Amanda Carlson is a new series featuring a valkyrie lead. There's good amount of romance in the first book too.

message 17: by H.C. (new)

H.C. Cavall (hccavall) | 66 comments Lilith Saintcrow. "Jill Kismet" series.

I will never shut up about this series because it's incredible. As a bonus, you have a sadomasochistic relationship with a demon and a werecat as her boyfriend. Plus, guns and magic.

Is there a love triangle in this one? I read working for the devil and liked it but didn't want to read the rest of the series bc of one

message 19: by H.C. (new)

H.C. Cavall (hccavall) | 66 comments Not a traditional one. Jill cannot stand Percy (the demon) in any way, shape, or form, but she owes him a debt (at first). There's no real attraction or even sex involved. I'm not gonna give any more away, but I can promise you there's no love triangle. :)

Awesome! I'll give it a try then! Thanks!
