I can see Layla's identity as motive for murder.
I kept expecting something to come from Eleanor that was less than love for Harry, so that was a real surprise. I'm trying to remember if she was a character in an earlier book -- I think she must have been.

I kind of had a feeling that Harry felt more for Eleanor than any of the other women we've met in this series. I liked that they got married. This should be interesting.
Lucky Goshen's undercover role flattened me! Never saw it coming.
I must admit, Eleanor and Harry marrying was not on my radar!! Jaw dropped on both of these.
By the time it was revealed that Layla was Veronica's daughter, I'd started suspecting.
I also nailed the wrong bad Vegas cop, too:)

Eleanor is the FBI agent from book one who was part of the robbery crew so that she could get revenge for the death of her brother.

Eleanor and Harry marrying wasn't that much of a surprise because Connelly leads into it nicely with their reconnecting romantically AND because its the only way that Harry can be with her without IAD breathing down his neck.
Layla being Veronica's daughter was also evident by the end.
I did not see Goshen as an FBI so was surprised by that, but I eventually saw Layla being Veronica's daughter. I didn't picture Harry marrying so quick in the series so I was surprised by that angle. As it became evident that IA was going to be on their back I began to see it going that way.
