One good thing you can do on Twitter is pin a post to your page. It means while you may frequently post stuff your pinned post will always read first and be the first thing people see when they visit your page. This is good for authors because you can pin a book promo or ad to your page. You can also pin your most popular post although if you have an ad you should always pin that first. I pinned an ad for my book a few months back and I've surprisingly got 43 retweets and 26 likes, it may not seem like much but its certainly a lot more than I ever expected.
