I agree with Lizzy, or at least didn't really jump into the HP hype immediately. 10-11 year old me probably would've eaten it up, but by the time I was like "ok, lets do this" I was kind of disappointed.

I loved the audiobooks though and that's how I got through books 1 and 2. I just need to read the rest. HP isnt bad, and I certainly know enough to get most HP references, but it hasn't been my favorite yet.

When I first signed up for Pottermore I got to choose between Gryf and Slyth. I wonder if I'll get the same result lol

I chose Gryf cuz I was convinced it fit me at the time, but I regretted it because deep down I knew that (as all my friends have confirmed) I'm Slytherin all the way lol

Sounds like a good idea! I totally quit roleplays, shut my whole addiction down, leaving my 30 rp groups XD but I can make an exception, I guess :)

Hey Rosie, I'm curious. What do you hate about Gone With the Wind? It was my favourite book growing up and then I was suddenly clued in to the racist overtones and vowed never to read it again.

Rebecca, sorry, when I said I hated Gone With The Wind I meant I hated the movie. I actually haven't read the book, though I've heard a lot about it, and from what I've heard (such as the racism you mentioned) I don't want to read it. But I can't pass any final judgment on it, because I haven't actually READ it.

The movie, however, I know much more about . . .
I don't like Scarlet or Rhett at ALL - they make me SO ANGRY. Melanie, of course, is a lovely woman, but other than that the whole movie, plot, characters, and EVERYTHING, just leaves me cold :/

Rosie, Scarlett is superlatively frustrating in the book as well. Rhett, though. Ah, Rhett. Strong, bold, swarthily handsome, with a devil-may-care attitude, rich, charming. I wanted him to take me away from my mundane existence when I was a teenager. I would've treated him so much better than Scarlett ever did, I told myself dreamily. I could've made him love me, pimples and all.

I have a (AHEM) love/hate relationship with writing. I love writing but I hate it when I can't form the story as I'd wish to.
