Susan A | 2091 comments Sweet Spot: The Petit Mort Stories Does this work for numbers 2, 4, 7, 9, 14, and 1? As long as I read the whole book.

yes for all except Spot 1

message 55: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 2091 comments Okay new question, if I land on spot 14, I can use a series book 1 or 4 or 14 or a standalone.

A series book that is number 14, only works for 14. Not for 1 and 4 and 14.

Are these statements correct?

Yes. All correct assertions

Gabriela | 192 comments Hi, I have a small suggestion for the alternate list. I may be wrong but I think #14 and #94 are the same, so maybe we could use the alternate from #1 instead of one of them, since I see that it will be taken off the next round.

Sorry, maybe I'm just assuming that they are all meant to be different, but just in case that's true, I think #10 and #98 are also the same.

Thanks Gabriela

The bottom ones (94, 98) I'll pick new categories later in the week

message 62: by ⚜️XAR (new)

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) If you land on a double digit number like 13 or so, couldn't you also read the 13th book in a series, if the series goes that high? (I'm specifically looking at Elemental Assassin and In Death here...)

message 63: by Ezi, Factory Superintendent (new)

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) | 16657 comments Mod
Yes. You could read 1,3 or 13th in that series. Absolutely go for the higher number if you could

Hi Tara, you have to waiting until all Reviews are in besides you can do anything.
So you might want to pm whomever is missing

She checked in this morning with her review. I read the instructions wrong, I thought the reviews had to be in before Friday, not by Friday at 11:59pm. It was my mistake on that.

Susan A | 2091 comments Ezi --

Team 4 has not been including page counts. Do you want me to go back to my weekly summaries and add in page counts?

message 71: by Ezi, Factory Superintendent (new)

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) | 16657 comments Mod
No. The page count is for the captain and I to make sure your book meets the page requirements as I can't and don't want to hunt on everyone's selection.

We've had a couple of oops but spotted just in time. I think if the captains and I were on top of things it would keep a teammate from scrambling to read a new book

Question for the alternate for spot 38, cover item building(s): Do you need a whole building, or will part of one do?
Specifically, does this qualify: The Storms of War (The Storms of War #1) by Kate Williams ?

Hmmmm. I need more context. Can you tell me the book? Are the characters going somewhere? Driving or flying to visit someone?
Going to Mexico to rescue someone? Driving to Canada to hide from law enforcement? I need to know more about what's going on.
Thanks

Technically she isn't late yet so there isn't anything you can do. I'd pm her and wait. We have until Friday 11:59 before she's officially late you have to use the free pass.

Make sure she's not in the Louisiana flood area too

Sorry my dear

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 2160 comments Okay just wanted to double check before telling the team it will be a morning or afternoon roll. I did pm her and I'll check to see where she's located too. Thank you!

message 97: by ⚜️XAR (new)

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) Ezi, I'm confused. When you list humor on the alternates list, do you want it to be from a specific list, tagged humor on GR, or just a book that we subjectively find funny?

When re-reading a book I've previously reviewed, do I need to write a new review for my post?

message 99: by Ezi, Factory Superintendent (new)

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) | 16657 comments Mod
@Trea,
It has to be tagged humor or found on a humor listopia.

@Denise: a fresh review. After all, I'm only requiring 2-3 sentences

message 100: by ❀~Amy~❀ (last edited Aug 20, 2016 04:57AM) (new)

❀~Amy~❀ (ajpayne75) Ezi, for Road Trip books, does the book need to be on a list, or do we just need to able to tell why it qualifies?

Would you consider Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince a toad trip book? I'm listening to it now and I seem to recall there is quite a bit of traveling that takes place.
