DHASG July Challenge

Introduction: Summer is in full spring. It's July and it's time to do that summer thing. Let's see what kind of reading we can explore in this month's challenge.

Rules:

1. Any DHASG member can participate in the challenge.
2. Books must be read between July 1st and July 31st.
3. A book may only be used once for this challenge.
4. Post or link to your final stats when you are completed.
5. In your stats, list book name, title and date read. Unless obvious, include why you choose a certain book in parentheses in your stats.

3. Pieces of Seven: Read 3-4 books.

2. We All Scream For Ice Cream!: July is also Ice Cream month! Woo hoo. That's license for me to eat an obscene amount of ice cream this month. Also, let's celebrate ice cream with reading a book that represents some facts about this amazing desert. Ice cream originated in the 17th century, so you could read a book set in a historical period (before 1960); Vanilla is the most popular flavor, but you can read a book that represents your favorite flavor; Since 87% of Americans have ice cream in their fridges, read a book where the character eats ice cream or there is a picture of ice cream on the cover; It can be painful and cause a medical condition if you eat ice cream too fast (Brain freeze), so read a book where the lead character needs medical attention; The bed and the bath are two interesting places people eat ice cream, so read a book with a delicious bedroom or bathroom scene. The lead character likes chocolate, eats it in the book, makes chocolate for a living, or you could just read a romance since chocolate has the same chemical that falling in love causes in the brain.
11.Cheer Up the Lonely Day: For July 11th, this day is to help someone who's feeling alone. Read a book with a lead character(s) who receives help in their lonely times.
