Liz (liz_the_librarian) Another quick week has gone by! I didn't make very much progress due to the gorgeous weather and my family visiting from out of town.

I started Salem's Lot last week but still have a good third of the book left.

I'm coming to the end of Ready Player One, and I think the climax is coming up. It's hard to get out of the car when I get to work! I just want to know what happens!

What is everyone else reading this week?

'Salem's Lot by Stephen King Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

I am reading, The Walking Dead; The Fall of the Governor, Part Two.... Midnight Crossroad, a new Charlaine Harris series..... Frozen (second in the Taken series) and Cold Calls. I picked up 2 other books because the looked interesting, but realized I had already read them so I am off to the Library to turn them in and pick up a few more.

Liz (liz_the_librarian) Congrats, Jennifer! That's a nice feeling, knowing that you're halfway to your goal. I hope everyone is still having a good time with this challenge. I know I've discovered some great books just based on suggestions from this group.

I probably wouldn't have picked up Ready Player One if I hadn't seen it recommended a few times here, and now I consider it one of my all-time favorites. I'm already looking forward to rereading it in the future.

Liz (liz_the_librarian) I finished Salem's Lot and did not think it was near as scary as my boyfriend and his dad made it out to be. Maybe vampires just aren't spooky enough for me, though.

I started the next book in King's bibliography, The Shining, another one I've read before but am eager to tackle again. So far it's already a bit scary. The whole invading-other-perople's-mind thing is super creepy.

I also started a new audiobook thanks to the recommendations of a coworker. The Rook is billed as a cross between Harry Potter and X-Men for adults. It's a pretty riveting story about a woman who wakes up surrounding by dead bodies but she has no memory of anything. She finds a note in her pocket and so starts her journey to figuring out who she is and why she matters to a mysterious group, called The Chequy, so much.
