Thanks for the other sites..they sound great.

- maps out your favourite author so you can find similiar authors.
I found this to be useful trying to find authors for my 10 yr old.

Stop You're Killing Me is a site that lists mysteries by author and character. It's great if you want to read a series, it lists them in order.

I hope that made some sort of since!
As far as I know there isn't something like that out there but it would be nice.
Great list Leila!
There are problems with literature map ; )
(which I adore by the way... lots of fun!)
I typed in Khaled Hosseini just to see what would happen...the name closest to his was Mitch Albom (?) and the name farthest away was... Hosseini Khaled (!)

It's spelled goodreads.com hahahahaha. In case you were not serious. If you are, then you spelled it right.

I just found this website btw:
http://www.tastekid.com/ask
It's more general with movies, tv as well but it has a book section. Basically, you type in some books you enjoy and it recommends.
I just discovered two new "recommendations" websites and decided to make a list of them, in case anyone happen to find them useful or so :) I thought it was very interesting, especially how some of these works:
http://www.whichbook.net/
- Gives book recommendations based on your mood OR specific characters/plot/setting.
http://www.booklamp.org/
- According to the website it "find books with a similar level of tone, tense, perspective, action, description, and dialog". So far it's still in beta phase and thus there is only a limited titles of books (mainly sci-fic) used but it has great potential, once it is fully released.
http://www.whatshouldireadnext.com/
- You write a book you like and it suggests.
http://www.literature-map.com/
- maps out your favourite author so you can find similiar authors.
http://www.librarything.com/unsuggester
- I don't use LibraryThing anymore (prefer Goodsreads) but this is a very peculiar and interesting feature. You write a book that you did not like and if I understand it correctly, it gives you a list of books that you may then like?
Does anyone know any more (besides NBBC and the rest of Goodsreads of course XD) ? :)
