WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. I REPEAT. SPOILERS AHEAD

Did anybody finish reading the book, but felt like you needed more. I felt like their was a sense of finality to the ending with Lily and Atlas, but I can't help but want more substance.

I'd love to hear other people's suggestions on what they thought happened after the ending...
How do you think Ryle reacts to Lily being with Atlas??
I had this weird inkling that Ryle ends up bonding with his daughter over the years, and eventually moves on to someone else where he becomes a better person??

I can't stop ranting, I'm not even sure if I am making sense but I'd love to hear people's suggestions on what they thinks happened or how they felt about the ending??

i finished it last night. And i still can't get over it.
Honestly, I'm pro Ryle all the way! I love Ryle just as Lily did.
If i were to end the book, I would end it by giving Ryle another chance. Maybe he can get help like therapy or anger management or whatever, so that he can't be an abusive husband. And in the first place, Lily should have be open and honest to him about Atlas and their past. Ryle really loves Lily so much and I was sad that the book didn't end with them together. I'm a sucker for happy endings, so that's just my opinion. :)

So i just finished and im definitly no longer team ryle, but i will discuss it in my review as well as in the live show

I was wondering how Ryle will take the Atlas and Lily relationship as well, it made me scared again to think of how angry he would be when she says "we're together!" *shutters*

I really was pro Ryle in the beginning, and then wanted to stay there, but I didn't END there. It will be so interesting to see how everyone felt about it when, the live show comes. :)

I finished reading the book this morning and I loved it. I loved Ryle at the beginning, I thought their relationship was fun & funny, and yeah he was a little pathetic, but that's what made their relationship unique. He wasn't that kind of guy, but Lily changed him. I have to admit, I didn't see his abusive side coming, and while I was a little disappointed that Lily didn't leave him immediately but after the book ended, I understood why. I can't imagine how hard it is to be in love with someone who can be abusive.

I really was worried Lily would forgive him in the end, but am glad she didn't. While it would've been great to see Ryle change, chances were if she kept forgiving him, he would think it would be okay to continue hitting her, and no woman should live in that kind of environment. I don't think that any other woman will change him, and in fact, believe he will go back to being that guy who only sleeps around. He tried a relationship and that really wasn't for him. It sucks that he probably won't find a person to end up with, but I think he's better off alone.

In the end, I am glad Lily and Atlas are going to work things out. He was a great guy and he helped her through a lot, and was extremely patient, knowing she was worth the wait. And I know that the book is over, but I couldn't help but worry how Ryle would react after he found out. Since someone asked ^ I think he's going to be very angry when he finds out about them. I think he'll assume the worst; that they were in love the whole time; or that she cheated on him, or that they were at least talking. But like Lily said, even if she had, that wouldn't give him the right to hurt her. Ryle should know how much she loved him and regardless who she ends up with, that will never change the way she cared about him.

I stayed up until 3am to finish this book and I don't regret it. It was so good. It made me laugh and it made me cry and I hope all you out there loved it and learned from it. It's definitely one of my all time favorites ❤

So, I just finished reading the book a few hours ago. It was an emotional read.
As you guys above have mentioned I was also worried about Ryle reaction to finding out about Lily and Atlas. I wonder if it'd go one of the two ways: either he could be the better person now and has learned from his mistake and is going to be happy for Lily or he'll take a turn for the worse (become the crazy, stalker, murderous? ex). I do hope though, as Bianca above mentions, that his daughter would make him calmer person and he'll get help and be a better partner with someone else in his future.

Also, I wish Lily had been honest with Ryle from the beginning about Atlas ( I am not excusing Ryle's abusive behavior on this because I believe he has no right to lift a hand on Lily or anyone else for any reason). Atlas was a big part of her life and she should have had Atlas related "naked truth" talks ( ex the tattoo) with Ryle at some point during her relationship (when he clearly asked her after the restaurant incident). If Ryle then had acted violently or not accepted Lily then they could have just not continued their relationship- I don't know, maybe I am being too simplistic here. To me it didn't seem like Lily had the same amount of investment/love for Ryle as he did for her). She clearly had never gotten over Atlas anyway (as she says at one point that she'd been with Atlas if he didn't tell her he had a girlfriend).

Then again, even as I say all that I've a feeling after all the explanations if Ryle had accepted and they started their relationship, there is huge chance that Ryle would've found a reason to be abusive as, i guess the point of the book is, that is his character/personal flaw. The end result would have been the same but I'd like that better from Lily.

I'm the only who wants an Emma story? I just want to see if is really ended with her...

I agree in a perfect world Lily Should have been open and honest, but realistically I wouldn't talk about my ex with my current. That is just stuff that doesn't really come up. And who wants to hear about ex boyfriends/girlfriends lol. But i get what your saying that when the time came, it probably should be discussed, especially when specifically asked about something.

and as you said, no matter what, lies outright or by omission still don't justify violence . :)
