“You have a choice in this world, I believe, about how to tell sad stories, and we made the funny choice.” I want this girls ability to look at life this way. She takes a story and chooses joy. I mean she is forever heart broken but Hazel and Gus decide to take a crappy situation that they are in and make it fun and adventurous. This type of life style always blows my mind because in the midst of them having cancer and dying, they choose joy. I think choosing joy is something that is very hard to do. When everything in your life is against you and you still choose to b happy and get back out there, which is an example of an honorable person. I personally know someone who chose joy and through her, I will always be grateful and changed. The world is good at feeling sorry for it instead of choosing joy.
