BOOKS SIMILAR TO LIFE OF PI?
James James Sep 04, 2016 03:59PM
I love this kind of genre but I can't fins books similar to it? Any suggestion?

The book strongly reminded me of Gabriel Garcia Márquez's The story of a shipwrecked sailor.

I recently read the Art of Hearing Heartbeats and it had a lot of similarities for me to Life of Pi-- it has a fantastical sense to it that just reminded me exactly of that book.

I gave it 5 stars:
A cross between Life is Pi and A Very Long Engagement. A touching story that transports you to rural Burma and draws you in from the very first pages.

Its not quite the same but The White Bone by Barbara Gowdy is a good book.Different feel and not about the sea. But It has animal characters. Religion of a sort is involved. The book is about a journey. And technically they are stranded.
