NOTE
I started and ended the readathon with a chapter from my serial reads delivered via Serial Reads App on my phone. I am not sure what the equivalent would be in actual page numbers so this wasn't included in my total number of pages.

Breakfast
Toast with honey
Yogurt
Water
Hot Chocolate
Lunch
Cheeseburger
Chips
Green Tea
Water
Dinner
Pizza
Breadsticks
Cinnasticks
Green Tea
Snacks
Whoppers

Cran-apple Juice

I didn't get any crocheting done. Instead I went out and cheered for other readers who were here on GR. I also played some games on the internet and tried to keep up with other various internet activities concerning the readathon.

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
I am reading from the US--Tennessee
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I am looking forward to all of them LOL
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
None in particular as I am eating what I normally eat.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I am the mother of two sons ages 26 and 22. I am also the mom to two furbabies, Saturn(pit bull-great dane mix) & Murphy(bull mastiff). I work full time as a Shift Lead Manager in retail. Reading is probably my favorite past-time and has been since I was in elementary school. For many years I read romance novels but have since branched out and read all genres. I am a cover lover and a mood reader. It is not unusual for me to have 10 or more books going at the same time. I also enjoy crocheting, cooking and other crafts.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I have participated in a lot of read-a-thons in the last 5 years--some 24 hrs, 48 hrs and others week long. I pretty much have a set routine that I follow and it works out fairly well.
End of Event Survey
1. Which hour was most daunting for you?
The most daunting hour for me was getting up for my start time of 7 am. I am a night owl so getting up early in the morning is NOT so fun.
2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
After participating in several Readathons I usually start with my hardest books or physical copies. Once I tire of reading or my eyes give out I will switch to audio and do something relaxing or catch up on the socializing/cheering aspect of the event. The last few hours I switch to very easy reading like children's books or manga/graphic novels.
3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next season?
I find it very hard to keep up with the social aspect of the event. There are just too many places where things are happening...the official website, GR, Litsy. FB, Instagram,Twitter, blog pages. I wish everything was more centralized like GR and the official website. But I understand the need to have the multiple outlets but I feel like the majority probably does use GR. . I know I didn't participate in the mini challenges, although I would love to, simply because it was a challenge in itself to go to the officcial page, look at the challenge, come back to GR and do the challenge. If I wasn't reading then it wouldn't be so bad, but trying to squeeze everything in that is going on here there and every where is a bit overwhelming to me. I am not sure if we were supposed to post the answers back to the official Dewey page/the blogger's page/GR...hmmmmm Maybe with all my organizational skills I can develop a plan next time that will work. Or maybe I just need to participate on GR and not try keep up with everything else. Decisions Decisions LOL
4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon?
I was ok with the new cheering aspect. I went around and left a post for a lot of the blogless here on GR.
5. How many books did you read?
I read 10 books start to finish, I read 2 chapters of my serial read from the app Serial reads, and I read 120 pages of a book I had previously started.
6. What were the names of the books you read?
1. A Match for Addy--224
2. The Price of Salt--262
3. And Then There Were None--264
4. Manga Classics: The Scarlet Letter--308
5. The Innocent--224
6. The Lightning Thief: The Graphic Novel--128
7. Vampire Slayer II: A Vampire's Kiss--64
8. Paperboy--240
9. What I Had Before I Had You--288
10.Brown Girl Dreaming--307

Previously Started--read 120 pages
1. The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend

Serial Read--2 chapters
1. Anna Karenina

7.Which book did you enjoy most?
Paperboy

8. Which did you enjoy least?
1. The Innocent

9. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?
I will participate again. I always tend to forget about the event in April but it also depends on my work schedule.
I will be a participant and cheerleader. I went around and cheered on GR for all the blogless :) this time. I was going to try to cheer for the bloggers on their pages but realized in order to leave comments you have to supply an email address--sorry but just am not interested in receiving all that email. :(

There was just too much going on that I got overwhelmed and didn't participate in these.

Thanks for stopping by. I am still getting everything here organized and ready for 7 am October 22nd. Feel free to come by often as new things will be posted between now and then. You may also feel free to copy and paste my "templates" for the RAT. A lot of people in my various groups do that as I do stay very organized with my challenges and RATs.
I keep everything neat and tidy as it keeps me focused and on track.
My book list is tentative. It contains books:
1. from the library that need to be read by due date.
2. currently reading and need to be finished
3. needed for the SRC challenge
4. from my TBR
5. audiobooks that I listen to while crocheting/surfing the internet/playing games
Therefore the list may grow. No, I can't possibly read all those during the RAT, but I am a moody reader so I like to have something ready for all my various moods.
Because I am a moody reader and always have 10 or more books going at once, I don't try to rush and finish my currently reading books before the RAT starts. As you will see later, I will track my books by number of pages read, books previously started but finished during the RAT, and books started&finished during the RAT. Right before the RAT starts, books on my list that are a current read, I will designate them as such and note what page I am on out of the total number of pages.
I will be reading physical books, audiobooks, epubs on both of my NOOKS(yes I have different books on each one LOL), kindle books, and books on my phone.
I will be working on some crochet projects during the RAT which will help me stay awake. During that time I will be listening to audiobooks. I have a post below where I will try to post pictures of the stuff I am working on and complete :) if I can remember how to post pics here lol.
