Eleanor Wish reappears in this story with the shocking news that she and Harry are the parents of three-year old, Madeline (Maddie). Why would Eleanor have kept the child a secret? How do you believe this will impact Harry's behavior?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments Good question, Jonetta. I can't think of a single reason she didn't tell Harry. I think Harry will try to be a father to the child. Can't wait to see what happens.

Was it tied to what Lindell said? Was she fearful he wouldn't let her (Eleanor) go? I could see, maybe, initially but almost four years??? That was very, very selfish.

Harry's just discovered a meaning and focus. His daughter will be the most important person in his life.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments Why did she leave Harry anyway? We know didn't like being a "housewife" and wanted to get back to gambling in Vegas. I think Harry would have went with her if she told him that. Unless she just didn't want to be married to him at all.

Did she know she was pregnant when she left? I just don't understand what reason she could have for not telling him.

Me, either, Robin. Hopefully, we'll get more insight in the coming stories.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Eleanor's actions were inexcusable. There was absolutely no reason to keep Maddie form her father. Harry is not abusive or irresponsible and he deserved to know about his daughter.

I've never been a fan of Eleanor's, but I actually dislike her intensely now. I'm really not a fan of the secret baby trope.

The impression I got at the time was the Eleanor didn't want Harry infringing on her independence. Compromise and a certain willingness to allow the other person to know what's going on with you is crucial in a marriage and Eleanor felt constrained by this.

I also don't think that she really loves Harry, at least not in the same way as he loves her.

Eleanor, IMO, is a very damaged and troubled woman. I've never understood her and probably never will.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I agree Lauren. She doesn't love Harry the way he loves her.

You're right Jonetta. She is very damaged and troubled.
