In your experience when reading picture books to young children, do they seem to prefer rhyming text or regular text?

I think they like rhyming, but I may a little biased since my book is written entirely in rhyme! :)
My daughter (3yrs) doesn't show any particular preference, but I certainly prefer reading aloud stories with a strong rhythm and rhyme pattern. Julia Donaldson's stories are good examples of this.
