How did i miss this series???

I appreciated your 'deranged' post. That has totally happened to me. I find I am all excited about a new to me series, and everyone read it years ago. :)

A friend of mine introduced me to Karen Marie Moning, her Fever Series and her Highlander series. I couldn't get enough. I was running to B&N every single day after work buying the next one ( subsequently spending my meager play money). I couldn't believe these novels were out in the world, unbeknownst to me. I believe there was a highly anticipated; day drinking appropriate; local fair-parade in my town, my friends were waiting for me, and I'm curled on the couch drooling/crying/reeling/ devouring

Sometimes Id rather live in the fictitious worlds of my novels than real life lol

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I love to binge read an entire series myself. I wait for all the books, and if I can't wait, I re-read the entire series when the last one comes out.

I do the same thing. I have read the Night Huntress World series too many times to remember and BDB probably just as many. I love to re-read books. I still get excited at the same points too!

I've just devoured Darynda Jones 'Sixth Grave on the Edge'
So I'm hunting through goodreads for something that tickles my fancy, when buried about halfway down a page I see Caitlin Kittredge's 'Street Magic'
It's perfect as I'm having a non-american location, non vampire centric, UF binge, so as I read some reviews, look at the rest of the series, stalk out any other series the author has written. I start to realise that sometimes, just sometimes fate happens. I already own this book somewhere in my waist high stacks of ex library and secondhand books. So after fuelling up on enough coffee to kill a baby hippo, I go spelunking. Its always a dangerous mission looking for a book in my house but It's a GOOD, so GOOD, like a drink of water in the desert good. No, Its not the perfect book, but its the perfect book for me right now. Anywho I'm doing the "I just discovered a new series that has 5 more books already out" dance and then its over. I turn the last page. How did i miss this author? This series? But it's ok I can make up for my failure as a reader, I run towards my kindle with that gleam in my eye saved for books, coffee and dangerous hero deliciousness and WHAT, amazon why are you lying to me? You don't have the black london series? How? Why have you failed me in my time of need and I need the next book LIKE now, See I can wait semipatiently if the next book in a series isn't out but this is cruel. Due to geographical rights and such nonsense I'm not allowed to buy the kindle or nook version because i live in australia. Sigh, this is how I missed this author. She has never popped up in my recommended lists and somehow i missed her on goodreads.
So i make the decision to blow my next couple months book budget on this series in paperback. I'm crushed, every online bookstore in Australia (trust me i checked) doesn't stock the third book, I can feel it fate is laughing at me now, I fell for her trick and now I'm suffering for the next 6 weeks for amazon to deliver the 'Black London Series' to my greedy little hands. Caitlin Kittredge congratulations on turning me into twitchy crazy person, you are one of only a few authors who have managed to do that.
So if you have made it to the end of this long and I'll admit slightly deranged post. (My coping strategy was ranting about how I'm going to move to Seattle and open my own book store because then the publishing companies can't hide books from me.) I was wondering what series you guys have gone 'How did i miss this? This is too good for me not to have known about. '
