Life is short, but sometimes we stick with the duds anyhow.

I listened to this on audiobook and it was really cool to hear him reading his own book. However, I was not the audience for this book because Im in my mid twenties. It was not as lighthearted as I thought it would be, but he talks about age and his perspective on aging. He sometimes repeats a story to make a point, and I couldn't really relate when he talked about the 60s because it was before my time.

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) I'm persevering and trying (really hard) to finish "The Age of Innocence". I can't seem to read more than a chapter or two at the time,it's slow and overly descriptive, I can't relate to the characters and don't like any of them...I can't wait to finally put this book behind me.

Ducky | 46 comments Death Comes to Pemberley. i was very disappointed with this book. strong characters from Jane Austens Pride and Predjudice. seemed to be weakened in the novel. also i found the plot to be lagging at times.

Cyndy (cyndy-ksreader) | 231 comments I read Skywriting By Word of Mouth by John Lennon, yes, the prolific singer songwriter. I honestly have nothing positive to say about this book. A short example of the odd writing: "He had taken the case with an air of dismay, clouded only by rancid fear, a problem he’d been wrestling with since studying at the Classical Musak College of Inferior Decorating. Having passed the entrance exam with flying hormones, he was never to fulfill his earlier promise due to an oversight on behalf of the Creator." Imagine mixed metaphors, before and after, along with word replacements in practically every sentence. John was a great songwriter and poet, but his skills at writing books probably should have been kept private. Just my two cents.
