This category seems tricky - you can't plan in advance!

Natália Lopes (silkcaramel) For me, it was "A Torch Against the Night" by Sabaa Tahir, the second in the An Ember in the Ashes series. WOW. Just wow. Sabaa outdid herself with this book. If you thought book one was dark, violent and amazing and with lots of plot twists, wait until you finish book two. It left me with a book hangover and counting the hours till book 3! I CAN'T WAIT THIS LONG SABAA, I need it now!

La_mariane | 36 comments I chose The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories by Ken Liu for this category, instead of Sci-fi or short stories. The really thought-provoking stories were (in my opinion) : The Reborn, The Perfect Match, The Algorithms for Love and The Paper Menagerie. The last two stories made me cry, and the first one, The Reborn, was so distressing I had to take a break while reading it... Great book, I'll probably read it again and I'll look for other books by Ken Liu.
