Lisa (seabelis) | 580 comments I know this question has been raised, but since there is a librarian note, I will raise it again.
This critical edition has a note stating it should not be combined with the main work, but it's not clear why this would be an exception to the guideline regarding such works.
Also, there are a number of "Annotated" versions in a separate work; the guidelines as I understand them suggest they should be combined with the primary work. I see no note stating an exception, but if someone went through the trouble of separating them, I thought it best to double check before combining them. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Always good to check.

Note removed; combined with other editions, as per Goodreads policy.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Corrected primary author. These books will have to wait until the 1000 combine deterrent is fixed before combining with the main work.

Are they not already combined?

Edit: Ah, you found another clump. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

That was the "clump" I was talking about - linked in Post #1. There are a couple of other strays as well.

The Norton edition linked at the top of the thread had been separate as well.

Yeah, I missed that the first time around. :-(

Ed Erwin | 84 comments "The Annotated Alice" (by Martin Gardner) here
https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

is currently separate from the non-annotated editions here
https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

If I ruled the world, I would keep them separated because the annotations are a significant portion of the book. But I think the policy here is that they should be combined. Is that correct?

That is indeed correct. Combined.
