Looking forward to having the rest of the series redone, as well as the upcoming Book 5.

That's some image

message 3: by Grace (new)

Grace Anthony (anthonybooks) | 65 comments I love the new cover! Is your book sci-fi or fantasy? Because the first cover looks more sci-fi and the second looks fantasy.

message 4: by Joe (new)

Joe Jackson (shoelessauthor) Epic Fantasy.

The original actually looks really cool blown up to about poster-size so you can see all the details, but at thumbnail size, it just wasn't doing the trick.

message 5: by Kim (new)

Kim Padgett-Clarke | 22 comments Both book covers are quite stunning. I prefer the style of the letters on the second one.

message 6: by Rohvannyn (new)

Rohvannyn Shaw | 189 comments I can see what you mean about how the second book has more thumbnail appeal. Though I like both covers, the second one is more visually impacting and stands out better. Great choice!

I gotta say, I like the first one better. Both are quite nice, though.

message 8: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments I love both but I prefer the second one. I think it is easier on the eyes. However, I liked the first one's lettering better. I can see how it would tie a series together whereas the second type is more common, and seen on many other covers.

Annie Arcane (anniearcane) | 629 comments 2nd one for me, please! ^_~

I like the image better and the colors and think it has more visual impact annnd even the font looks more "pro" imho.

Dig it.

*fist bumps*

message 10: by Robert (new)

Robert Jones (rdjones) | 9 comments Both covers are cool, but the second feels a bit more professional, I think it is the lettering! Great job, will be interesting to see if it helps increase sales for you.

message 11: by Justin (new)

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 790 comments I like the older cover better personally. I remember seeing this cover somewhere and thought now that's a good book cover.

Groovy Lee I like the second one. I like the way the character is looking right at you; that grabs my attention. Good job!

well done, Joe

message 14: by Mike (new)

Mike Dickenson | 12 comments Second cover looks way better. The first one is kind of hard to tell what is going on. I'm also releasing an ebook tomorrow with a new cover from the paperback. Wishing you the best!

message 15: by Anna (new)

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 560 comments I like the first one but if it doesn't work at thumbnail size then the second one is good too.

message 16: by Nathan (new)

Nathan Bush | 57 comments Second one gets my vote, but as many have said, they both look good

message 17: by Krystal (new)

Krystal (krystaljames) I like it! Everything pops more on the new cover.

message 18: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Jones (ttpswwwgoodreadscomkevinjones) | 18 comments I like the new cover Joe it looks professional and artistic.

I have a question though, how do you post the book covers I have been trying to do it but I'm not having any luck whats your procedure if you don't mind?

message 19: by Annie (new)

Annie Arcane (anniearcane) | 629 comments Hey, Mr Kevin!

*waves*

Just click on (some html is okay) and you'll see a list of coding options. There's one for embedding an image.

@Mr Joe: Sorry for butting it! May I vote for #2 again? ^_~

message 20: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Jones (ttpswwwgoodreadscomkevinjones) | 18 comments I actually tried it with no luck perhaps I'm not doing it right I'm not seeing where the problem is though

message 21: by Annie (new)

Annie Arcane (anniearcane) | 629 comments Okay, Kevin. Just so you know, I'm totally not stalking you. Just stuck on hold with nothing to do hahaha...haha...ha...*sobs uncontrollably* Anyhoo, gonna borrow your pretty cover image now, alrighty, Mr Joe? Great. Thanks.

< img src="https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/comp..." width="100" height="150" alt="description"/>

Then take out the extra space after the < and...

Voila! ^_~

Hope that helps!

D. Thrush | 187 comments Second cover is better. Did you do your own or who did you use?

message 23: by Kevin (last edited Jan 12, 2017 02:50PM) (new)

Kevin Jones (ttpswwwgoodreadscomkevinjones) | 18 comments Thank you Annie I appreciate the help regardless of stalking or boredom :D and thank you Mr. Joe I hope I didn't distract your post too much.

message 24: by M.L. (new)

M.L. | 1129 comments The second one. Great image. It makes me curious about the character. (I'm also partial to blue.) :)

message 25: by Joe (new)

Joe Jackson (shoelessauthor) Thanks all. I do still like the first cover, but the visual impact isn't really felt completely until you blow it up to poster-size (which you can without losing image quality). It just hasn't been doing the trick for me. Hopefully the new one gets the series some more eyeballs, time will tell.

The old one was by Adam Wayne, the new one by Andreas Zafiratos.
