*group hugs*
Agreed :)
Like it's been a few months and I'm still in the middle of the hammer of Thor like I'm not even close to finishing it :( and I have so many books that I'd been planning to finish next. Tho luckily this is my last year in school but then there is college. Hopefully I'll find more time there

When I have finals week, like I have right now, I have like one or two tests a day and then I am free. School goes first in my opinion but I can't study for 6 hours straight, so I give myself free time in between in which I sometimes read, depending on the subject I was studying for.

Also!!! i try to read on my commutes to and from school!
I always try to find little spots of time to read. For example in the car when we are going to visit someone. Or when I am in the train/bus. Or when I have a break at work. I also try to read right before I go to bed but sometimes my eyes are way too tired.

I try to read whenever I have a free minute. Sometimes, right before bed or on my way to school. Either way, I'm starting university this year so wish me luck.
(Hope my idea is quite clear, English isn't my native tongue)

I completely understand your pain. And that thing you mentioned about your reading pace slowing down? Yeah that happened to me too. It's just so depressing sometimes.
I have so many books on my TBR pile, and I've bought a lot of books but so many of them just sit on my shelf, collecting dust. I just want to read, but mundane things like school and exams keep getting in the way. I know we're supposed to give priority to school but AGH it's so frustrating!
I'm in the 12th grade and my finals are just around the corner and they last for almost a month and I don't know how I'll manage without books for so long. :(
As for your question, you could try what everyone before me has said. If you're too tired , put an audiobook and fall asleep to that. My phone has a "sleep timer" for music, so I put the audio book on and set the timer for 10-ish minutes. I know it's not much but unfortunately , the schooling system seems to want us to concentrate on academics and academics alone.
Sorry If I wasn't of much help :/ Hang in there <3
I understand you. The best way to do it is trying to get all your school work done so you can give sme time to read a little everyday. That's what I do.

That's exactly what I do, Chloe! I just always have a book around, even if I can only read a paragraph. Any little scrap of time is enough for me to read!

I read whilst eating and don't watch too much TV (though I do play video games) so a lot of my spare time is spent reading :)

1. Audiobooks. I usually audiobook something each month so whenever i'm driving, showering, going to bed, or just scrolling through tumblr, i'll listen to it!
2. I always keep a book with me. If I don't have a book on me, I'll have an ebook on my phone. This way I'm able to read at school during lunch or whenever class ends early. I usually read the most in the evening, though. I get homework and studying done and I go ahead and read.
3. I set myself a minor goal. I like to read 4-5 books a month on average so I'll have this semi tbr and I use it as motivation to even find the time to read.
5. It always helps to take a breather and read something short but interesting. Anything like comics, manga, poetry books, short stories usually keep me out of reading slumps and adds onto to my Goodreads goal so I don't feel far behind! :-)

When at home, I've been trying to cut back on the time I spend online and the time I spend watching tv. This also helps me a lot :)

If you aren't too stressed about your grades or finish studying early on some days, prop open a book. You could also try and use an audio book on the way to school.

But it's really sad.
I used to read so much. Now I'm barely finishing a book a week. Plus, any time I spend reading I feel incredibly guilty. Like I could be doing additional studies but I'm choosing not to.
Does anyone else feel like this? Especially if they are in a program that demands a lot from them?

At uni there's school that's stressful, and you have to juggle it with a part time job and a social life, if you have the chance to have higher education.
When you reach the work force, as an adult, you have to juggle EVERYTHING. All the responsibilities, and you try to have hobbies, but sometimes you run out of time, or you're just too damn tired to read. I'm "lucky" enough to have issues to deal with that prevent me from living on my own and leading a household, so aside from work and helping around, I've still got some time to read, whether it's during my lunch break, in public transit, or between Bollywood movies on Netflix. So I have plenty of time to devote to reading, and I consider myself lucky for it (not so much for the issues that cause all this spare time lol).

while eating
when i am supposed to studying
when i am supposed to be keeping an eye on my sister
when i am in lectures
when i am supposed to be sleeping
literally
all the time!!!
:)
truth be told i don't have much of a life
